Next time after sanding a plastic part, hit it with a clear coat to smooth out the surface as much as possible before casting it in the silicone. Then you won't have to worry about all of those micro scratches from polishing.

Ich dachte zuerst, soooo alt kann diese Walzmaschine nicht sein, wenn da Passfedern drin sind... Ich begann 1987 mit der Lehre. Und bereits da waren Passfedern normal. Mittlerweile arbeite ich schon viele Jahre im Bereich Maschinenüberholung. Und da sind die ältesten Maschinen, die ich gesehen habe, aus den frühen 50ern. Und auch die hatten bereits Passfedern. Bedeutet dann wohl, dass deine Walzmaschine mindestens bis zu 70 Jahre alt sein kann. Ich vergesse einfach immer wieder mal, wie alt ich mittlerweile bin... 😅 Nebenbei... bei mir am Ort gab es die Firma Dinkel, die Walzmaschinen herstellte. Allerdings mit Elektroantrieb. Während meiner Zeit in der Grundschule hatten wir da mal ne Betriebsbesichtigung. Wenn ich heute darüber nachdenke... Eine Horde aus 20 8-jährigen Kindern wuseln durch die Fabrikhalle... 😂 Waren wohl andere Zeiten damals. Gutes Video. Einer der wenigen Kanälen, die ehrlich restaurieren. Es gibt ja auch Kanäle, wo auch Kunststoffteile "rosten". Hier ist das nicht der Fall. Einfach ehrliche, gute Restaurierungen mit viel Liebe zum Detail. Gefällt mir. Weiter so.

Ancora un ottimo restauro. Una domanda: Vedo altri restauratori che controllano affinché la vernice dell'oggetto da restaurare non contenga piombo; tu non controlli, come mai? Sono venuto spesso in Germania (vicino AAlen) perché assistevo in Italia le macchine prodotte da una azienda. Questo per dirti che io bevevo birra HefeWeizen e mi piaceva molto.

Essendo italiano, apprezzo il restauro di una macchina da caffè di fabbricazione italiana. Se vuoi un consiglio per un buon caffè (ho fatto il barista per un certo tempo), cerca di restaurare un macina-caffè da bar poiché la macinatura cambia in base alla stagione. E' questo il motivo per cui è possibile macinare il caffè in almeno 10 gradi diversi. Ottimo lavoro

Well done. I just wonder how you clean the inside of the holes, like the threaded holes for the two adjustment screws. Do you have a set of cylindrical wire brushes? Do you chase the threads with a tap? Or do you just leave it as is because we don't see the inside on video?

My condolences on your father. If you are any reflection of the man he was, then the world has truly lost some one wonderful. What wonderful finished products that you have given your sisters. You and they have forged, fitted, and finished family heirlooms. Cheers.
