Tbf you can make a "drive by wire" system way more robust with much cheaper and easier to implement redundancy. Multiple sensors, multiple wires as separate entities on a bus, etc. Whereas a fully mechanical system is difficult to avoid a single point of failure It doesn't really matter though, so much engineering goes into the both to keep the failure rate miniscule

Very noticeable lag, plus It looks like if the car gets understeer the wheel will just let you keep turning it without any feedback. Very dangerous for anything other than the everyday slow traffic kind of driving.

Personally I am happy that smaller trucks are making a comeback. In the future when I shop for a truck, it will be nice to have options. I always hated the oversized boat-ish trucks that are just a glorified status symbol. I like practical things, I dont plan to haul crazy 5-point trailers or go rock crawling. Small trucks for DIY projects are all I need

There’s also zero infrastructure in this and investment from other companies. The few fuel cell cars that have been produced have sold horribly. Unfortunately there’s not much of a future for these types of engines unless way more of the automotive industry comes on board with it

Nice video. I drive a 2019 Tesla Model 3 LR and changed from stock Continentals at 45K to Michelin CrossClimate2. I noticed about a 10% drop in efficiency and on research discovered the concept of rolling resistance. My next set I will definitely be researching a bit more before making a choice and rolling resistance will be a big factor.

That dam ethanol is the worst thing they have done for small engines, if it stays in an engine's fuel tank for a length of time it gums up the carbs and that is where all the problems are. If you use non-ethanol fuel for small engines you eliminate the problem of gummed-up carbs and the starting problems associated with it, my 2 cents worth.
