We lived off grid for 25 years raised 3 children off grid. The wife and I parted ways after the children were raised thats another story. Anyway my new wife of 20 years again live off grid and we love it. Now to the point I have had 3 different cook stoves in the past 45 years and all cook stoves are not great. We started with an old enterprize wood stove simler to the one your using. It was just ok. The second wood stove was a little newer but still just ok. We perchased an italian wood cook stove about 10 years ago that is deffinetly the caddleack of wood stoves. I see that your using pine for fire wood we also use pine and poplare because that is all that grows up north here on our land. Anyway the new cook stove using that type of wood will burn and through good heat for 6 hours using the same wood that you use our last wood stove would be lucky if it held a fire for 4 hours. If I were you I would try to buy a LA Nordica cook stove first off there would be no need to have that other stove that I seen in your house to heat your house. Oh ya it cooks food very well. Sorry for being so long winded/

You're trying to run a 10000 watt generator to charg1200 watts of power. Your generator is oversized, and your gasifier is under producing for the output of your generator. Drop your generator size, and you should be fine. Or, upgrade your gasifier. My thoughts

If you need 5000 watts to get through a heavy electrical use day, then build a system that will have enough storage to supply you that power for longer, I'd say much longer that the longest amount of time you will be without sunlight.

Lots of really poor combustion and wasted energy. You want to drip feed oil in to the fire, or set up a powered injector.

Use a 2 ton air mover from an ac unit you'll have charcoal in 5 minutes and also the stack pipe will become so hot it will ignite the smoke it's awesome

The impeller on that unit looks like it is repurposed from a squirrel cage fan…. Not at all a optimum design

i don't know if anyone mentioned this, but i think you were supposed to let the distiller run for a bit before collecting the water into the bottle. to wash away any contaminants in the pipe/s. i think moonshiners throw away the first run because it is toxic. i enjoyed this episode.
