What was the version of the arduinoFFT library you added when you made this video, the latest version seems that it is not working

how can I get the instantaneous output received from a Arduino mic, as I do not wanna use SD, pre-loaded MP3, WAV or any other stored data. I need live IP to OP.

Have a question? What is the purpose of removing the other end of the resistor to a different hole when checking current?

Thank you for a very informative video. I especially liked that you showed that some of the insulation was also wrapped around the bottom of the pin as this adds strength to the wire so it has less of a chance to break due to vibration or other movement.

If both separate channels are connected in series, won't the zero center be drawn to the terminals CH1+ and CH2-? The connection will certainly occur, but it may not be output to the output terminals and this will only double the voltage of the sum of both channels. But if the center of the connection of both channels is brought out to the output terminal (mostly channel CH1-), it is much easier and no jumpers are needed.

In order to make the program display how close the played note was to the closest match in the storedNoteFreq array, I added the following in the section you titled "Find the closest note": noteLocation = i; cents = 1200 * log(storedNoteFreq[i]/signalFrequencyGuess)/log(2); if (cents < 0) { flatSharp = "flat"; cents = -cents; } else if (cents > 0) { flatSharp = "sharp"; } else if (cents = 0) { flatSharp = ""; } I then had this display in the printed output as... Serial.println(octaveRange); if (cents == 0) { Serial.println("You nailed it!") } else if (cents <> 0) { Serial.print("You were "); Serial.print(cents); Serial.print(" cents "); Serial.print(flatSharp); Serial.println("."); } What do you think? (NOTE: Don't forget to add "int cents = 0;" and String flatSharp = "";" to the variables at the very beginning.)

I think it would be very helpful to make the program take a sound sample during the countdown to determine the ambient noise level, set a volume threshold based on this, and then when cued have it iterate repeatedly through the available sampling memory for even half of a second, sensing for when a sample’s amplitude exceeds the threshold.

The highest frequency the mic can record is around 20kHz so what happens to your circuit if a signal higher than 1024hz hits your circuit

Hi Clyde - Thanks for this helpful overview of the SDG1032X. I recently purchased one of these units and have been able to generate all the waveforms you showed. What I’d like to do, but haven’t found a way, is to generate a periodic sequence of FM sweeps. So, for example, have it generate 100ms sweeps every 2 seconds continuously. Do you know a way to do so? Thanks in advance! - Jim

This video is super helpful because as I am getting ready to take the ham radio general exam I can now visually see the effect of a lower duty cycle on the amount of power that is actually pushed through. Basically I am able to better understand: Average power = PEP x operating duty cycle x (time transmitting/averaging period). And because I can see it that gives me a better understanding of when and why my equipment is heating up. So THANK YOU!!
