Apparently Mr. Wells hasn't got the memo yet from Answers in Genesis. They claim evolution happens very rapidly. The reason for their claim is that it's been pointed out to them the ark was nowhere near big enough to accomodate two animals of every species. They've decided that there wasn't two of every species, but only two of every "kind". Then they have to explain all of the extant species on earth now, only 4500 years after the biblical flood. So they're saying evolution happens very rapidly. Perhaps Mr. Wells should get in touch with them to sort this out.

This podcast is a perfect example of information that needs a very detailed video. It loses too much in just a verbal explanation. A 30 to 60 minute video is needed just as a beginning and an in depth video would need to be compared side by side to a human designed motor.

We can hypothesise that if information stops to exist then intelligence design becomes extinct evolution. If information is zero then intelligent design never existed like in space where information is vacant or not. In other words God is less present in space than on Earth where information is abandant.

Is this just a "proof by incredulity"? I mean we have mathematical proofs that show any event, no matter how improbably, will approach an absolute certainty of occuring given enough samples. Weve had billions of years of random interactions of molecules in a liquid soup allowing for a practically inconceivable amount of samples of molecular interaction/change, and with the aid of selective pressures causing an increased probability for more capable molecular structures, this gives a lot (i mean a lot, like a million years is practically negligible compared to a billion which again we have multiple of in this time frame) of probabilistically biased samples allowing for the occurence of such machines. Engineers are even using such theories/ideologies now through things like evolutionary algorithms, whereby they create such seemingly "fine tuned" highly complex structures that can accomplish a multitude of complex tasks through a simulation of the processes of evolution in which they have little to no direct interaction with the specification of such aeemingly "perfect" resulting structures. Also, it seems like an "intelligent designer" creates more questions than it answers. Like we know how chemical processes and statistics work or at least have seemingly very accurate models for how they work, but by just hand waving away these things in lieu of an ill defined "intelligent designer" just seems to push the question and add some more. Who created them, what are they like, etc? I mean, I don't want to offend but if their description is based on the scriptures of the most popular religions today, then the descriptions are rife with self contradictions and apparent falsehood when looking at how the world operates.

The evidence of intelligent design in both the genome & many micro organisms is fast becoming irrefutable. As to the source of such ‘intelligence’ I’ll leave it to the theologians to fight amongst themselves

But most amazingly is the cell mechanism that generates the crappy music that accompanies cellular functions. Anyway, the music makes you want to believe and the computer generated cartoon makes you want to believe. The chemical reactions occur. This is known. But how? Very unknown. That little cartoon two-stepping thing is just an animation of the most basic of steps in that particular chemical function. You can just as well apply it to any process that involves two steps.

God existed before He created creatures, yes or no? Yes. God was not created, He is the Creator, yes or no? Yes. Was time created, yes or no? Yes. God is not concerned with the time He created, God existed and time did not exist, yes or no? Yes. God created Space (places, directions), yes or no? Yes. As God is not concerned with the time He created, He is not concerned with the space He created. Even scientific atheists know that space and time are inseparable.

Sorry, but what has been found and confirmed does not verify the 'truth' of the bible. It does corroborate some notable names, like Pilate and Herod, but not Jesus. Nor does it do anything to confirm the supernatual events (miracles, resurrection, flood, etc). And Jewish archaeologists have been trying for a very long time to find good evidence for the events of the exodus story and so far have found nothing. Were there hebrews living in Egypt controlled areas? yes. Were some slaves? Yes. Did 2million+ escape at one time and wander the desert? No evidence to support this at all. Maybe stop trying to get science to confirm your claims, it's not going to happen. If you want to believe ancient myths it is fine, just stop trying to get people to view them as true.

John Lennox believed that the universe had a beginning before scientists believed it. A god created it. Great. The ancient Greek believed that when they saw lightning and heard thunder it is because Zeus was angry. Same thing. "God did it" is always the lazy answer.

My main metric would always be how much the students learned and how does that compare to normal High School Chemistry classes. It is not just checking the boxes but making sure the student is ready and able to advance their knowledge in that subject area. For anyone interested in chemistry the beginning class is the foundation for any person to be interested in pursuing that subject further in the future and maybe make their career in that field.

As a physicist, my understanding is that in general random processes don’t produce order. The complexity in the cellular molecular machines is astonishing. Could random processes ever produce something this complex? Science doesn’t have an explanation.

Obviously someone who has not read any Stephen Jay Gould. Evolution can happen slowly, or more rapidly, bearing in mind what is meant by "more rapidly". We are talking about geologic time. There is no contradiction between "punctuated equilibrium", and evolution by tiny steps. The fossil record is what it is. When one considers that in the vast majority of cases, organisms do not leave a fossil record, finding a fossil is a minor miracle in itself. In the vast majority of cases the organism disappears without a trace. Of those organisms that did leave a fossil record, they might be at the bottom of the ocean, where they will never be found, at the tops of mountains where they're unlikely to be found, or the remains may be so badly damaged as to be unrecognizable. Again, the finding of any fossil is a minor miracle. At the same time, fossils are not the only evidence for evolution. There is DNA in every living thing, and it can be used to determine the relationship of one species to another. Denying evolution isn't just a matter of questioning the fossil record. Denying evolution means denying all science. Geology, genetics, biochemistry, physics, and all the various branches of those sciences confirm evolution over and over again.
