I was 14, and so mad with baseball I quit watching for a few years. Also quit collecting baseball cards. Didn't get back into the hobby until late 2018. If this strike hadn't happened, I'd probably have a fortune in 2011 Mike Trout rookie cards right now? 😫

I was there rooting for the Cardinals, my favorite team for 27 years. Afterwards I reflected on the fact that I attended so many Astro games having moved to the area in ‘93 & somehow I made a switch. I have LOVED the ASTROS ever since. I still have the scorecard and memories from that night. With many more to follow, and lots of Astros autographs.

Albert Belle has to be the greatest player that NO ONE wants in the HOF. I think more people would rather have Bonds, Clemens and McGwire in the Hall before Albert Belle - which is a damn shame. I was at this game with my grandfather. I was 9. Henry Rodeiguez hit a bomb off Darwin and that’s when the Expo fans would throw Oh Henry bars on the field so obviously it pissed Darwin off so he hits him at the next at bat

As an old soul person for 1994, I was enjoying watching any team in that season especially when the Yankees and Expos were kicking ass. Sad that the strike shut down the postseason.

When I was about 13 years old, I remembered this MLB strike that cancelled the remainder of the 1994 regular season, the playoffs and the World Series!! Everybody looks a lot sad to me!!!

8/12/1994 was my 7th birthday. I had no idea what was going on in MLB at this time back then, but I do remember that a summer without baseball was the WORST summer ever. Felt so boring and this was the worst birthday ever
