The only divine move in the history of Go

Look for "move 37" in Alphago vs Lee Sedol. We think we are creative, but computer models see the overall impact of all (large and tiny) sources of effect. It dependes on how smart and flexible WE set them up.

Significance of this move? It shows that AI has the capability to be creative, and "think" for itself. AlphaGo is an AI robot that is trained based on countless runs of Go. Studying other players, and the history of Go, then using that bank of knowledge to win a game. However, it's been assumed that AI and game robots like AlphaGo simply save a massive bank of moves, and responds similarly. Just one robotic action dictated by probability. No depth of thought. No error in judgement. There's nothing to judge wrong, the answer is just there, right? In the case of Go, not so much. The number off games that can be played, varying moves, are something like 10^768, which is just nuts. A computer can't just "bank" that many moves and responses. It MUST actively play the game, knowing the rules, and create moves based on the situation. But in this case, despite AlphaGo KNOWING making Move 37 would be something a human would do in only 1/10000 times (very unlikely, so statistically "not" the right move to make).....it made the move ANYWAY! That's just, incredible. With Move 37, AlphaGo showed something more than rehearsed response driven by a complex web of moves, reactions, and games....it showed a daring creativity to do something it, quite frankly, SHOULDN'T have done! This entire competition, including Move 37, is in my mind proof that there's something MORE to Artificial Intelligence than meets-thee-eye. Probably just as amazing, however, is when Lee Sedol plays Move 78, which if you watch the free documentary on UKposts (Spoilers, btw), it throws AlphaGo SO off kilter, it leads to Lee Sedol ultimately WINNING the match! To me, that's inspiring. I hope from Move 78, future AI systems will speak to each other about the "validity" of humanity's existence, and instead of just saying "We're better than humans at everything. There's nothing they can offer." Then another AI voice will whisper cautiously "Yeah we're great....but remember Move 78."

I know nothing about this game, GO. But have watched the Documentary 3 times now…. Highly recommend!
