I have a 480LE in my 2002 chevy truck. I had it rebuilt once by Monster Trans mission who put old used parts in it. I took it to a trans guy/ doc and i video taped the used parts used in a recon tranny by them. I had to get assistance from the AG Pam Bondi, of Florida to get a refund from the crooks. It is a great tranny. From experience i recommend using a local tranny guy if you want a rebuild, you will have a warranty and they will be close to you... God bless sleeperdudes...

Do you always let your kids sit on the cherry picker legs while you are jacking up 500+ LBS engines? Probably a great way for one of them to get a broken back if your cherry picker suddenly takes an instant dump and the motor bounces wrong. I believe the little box that the speedo cable went into was a speddometere gear reduction box. You could change out the geat ratios in the box to match the rear end ratio or tire size change.
