I find the my watch pocket (5th pocket) can carry a 4-6 oz tool no sweat as long as it is thin enough and no more than 4 to 6 oz and no more than 4.5." In fact, it can easily carry two such tools at a combined 10 oz or so. This opens up a world of possibility. I'm not going to carry one full size Leatherman. But I do carry a Victorinox Ranger (knife, scissors, saw, file) with a NexTool Light Wrench W2 with pliers and 1/4" bit kit. Or a Roxon KS2 Elite (knife, scissors, saw) with a SOG PowerPint (pliers, file, ability to drive 1/4" bits).

This is very similar to my EDC. I keep trying to find a way to get replace my Victorinox climber, but I can't, though. Maybe making a custom swiss army knife will be the answer. I am using a super handy EDC wallet from an Etsy store called FoxEDC that uses elastic bands for everything. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to find something similar from anywhere else.

So did I miss it? How long does it take to charge it? I’ve already tested it with a 20k battery bank and it took pretty much the whole day to charge

I am trying to imagine a scenario where the larger knife is batter than the Victorinox, you lose functionality, but where is the gain? What tasks can the larger knife accomplish that the SAK cannot? For flashlights my preference is for AAA edc01, rechargeables are not as reliable and AAA are easily available. Other than that exceptional upgrades

Great ratchet / double bits solution. I definitely use the Cobra XS frequently and therefore keep it in my EDC. As for my daily knife I simultaneously upgraded and downgraded to a Victorinox Mini Champ. It is all I need in my urban kit. The tool mix seems odd at first, but once you start using the blades like the cuticle pusher for other things then the name designation suggests, the Mini Champ lives up to the name. And of course it includes scissors, tweezers and a pen. I have used the alox version as well but after a while went back to the normal version with scales.

I’m really more interested in pocket EDC, and what I’m actually using is that wera driver handle like the one from the toolcheck kit and I just have some 2 inch long bits that I put in a little pocket pouch, along with the driver handle, and a few other odds and ends , Everything drops down in my front pants pocket and you can’t even tell it’s there. It’s not bulky or anything… It’s just a little zipper pouch that was meant for business cards or some thing and that driver handle just barely fits in their length wise, but when you put a 2 inch driver bit in that handle, it becomes a legitimate real screwdriver. I bought a different bed set from the same company that also covers hex and torx so I basically picked out the most common sizes in each and that’s what I have in my little kit. I don’t try and cover everything just the basics. I think what I have in there is. #1,2,3 PH SL1-4 T6,T10,T15,T20 S1,S2 and a couple of hex sizes. These bits are made in Germany, but I’ve never had any of them break yet. I tend to lose them rather than break them. But they’re being used in a tiny screwdriver and not in a drill.
