i had all the accidental diagonals in the world with miyoo mini and plus so it's quite shocking that this is even worse in this regard.

Been using this for months now with lenovo y700 8inch tablet. The ergonomics of this controller and the screen of y700 is perfect for retro emulation.

I did something like this to a friend who, while he's pretty tech-savvy, I know he wouldn't tinker with it too much. So I installed the 1.3.3 CFW, curated a romset, and then, after scraping all those games, I used one of the dark themes (and changed a lot of the images it used, since I wanted something a bit more personal, even added an EasyRPG one) and then just hide or deleted everything he wouldn't use. It was a nice machine, to be honest, I still have a backup of that SD since it was more work I put into my own console haha

It got an update that made it. I think someone told me about 40% better.

26:19 just added global.retroarch.video_driver = "gl" to batocera.conf and it fixed everything, vulkan sucks man :(

Dang, was hoping this would be a little better; I own the RGB30 and although i like it, im finding that the 1x1 screen is not suiting the games i end up playing on it with ps1, psp, dreamcast and such. I thought id be playing more gba, gbc older games but find they dont hold my attention anymore.

Tracking my post and my Pow Kiddy is in the Australia, I'm like a little kid and Christmas is only a few days away, I feel sorry for kids now waiting is awful, I'm useless to do anything else right now. I brought the one with only one SD card, while I support emulation I can't support people make a profit from mailing or selling ROMs, I have got a largest collection of ROMs already. Someone buying a HDD full of ROMs is ok, by this Retro-Handhelds with everything pre-installed mostly from China is just to easy. When I brought my HDD full of roms in 2010 the only roms that were mean to be played were ones I already owned, that's how they got around the copyright laws, but now the companies sending the roms don't even try.....Edit..I worked out what I was trying to say....So people that make emulators don't get shutdown and the companies that made retro-handhelds not get ban and the rom Web-Site don't get closed, I would prefer if the Handhelds and the roms were sold part so it's the finally rom user who's braking the copyright laws, it's up to the roms user to have a legal right to use the roms, to protect the emulator industry.....I think that make sense.

@RetroGameCorps, I am thinking on setting up my Ayn Odin 1 with doc as a fool proof preconfigured game system for my father. He loves Mario Kart, Wii Sports 2(Flying mode), Wolf3d, and a few other staples. I like the Android setup of the Ayn Odin 1 but if I am giving it to my father I don't think he would understand all apps and settings. How would you setup an Ayn Odin 1? Currently I am just letting him borrow my Switch and 3ds but I think the Odin 1 will be able to do more for him if I can streamline it. I would be interested in hearing how you would approach this.

If you only see the Favorites list once done, why would you get any game that you would not put on that list? Seems like extra work for something the end user will not experience...

You can turn on favorites in the Emulation Station menu. It's not on by default. You go to : Main Menu, Game Collection Settings, Automatic Game Collections, & check Favorites & Last Played. While in Game Collection Settings you also might want to turn off "Sort Favorites on Top For Custom Collections" if you want to retain your game lists intact. I hate cluttering up my Steam Library so this allows me to have things I regularly play but without having the SRM add a lot of entries to the library (just have EmuDeck & Prime Hacks).

I asked him if he’d like a small handheld for games and I can teach him how to play. He said yes and I said I’d try make something up for him. 60 mins later, this video was in front of me, not searched for, just there. Are you psychic? Do you have any other powers? I would like to be able to disable the retroarch menu, I remember when I was a kid I’d mash keys for fun, wouldn’t like him to mess with the settings there. I’m sure that’s a matter of changing hotkeys or removing them altogether. Also, after I’d make all this effort, I’m hoping I can back everything up on the event of sd failure (let’s face it, 4 year old will likely lose it before it fails). Great video. i have tried this about 10 times now and my sd card always shows all the files on it from my mac but then when i put that same sd card in my anbernic rg351v it does absolutely nothing and doesn’t see the sd card . ive tried it on 3 cards now . really annoying time waste at this point.

Is this kind of set up possible on the Amazon firestick? If not, what would the the easiest, most childproof setup?

I ordered a 1440p 16Gb 1Tb model and cannot wait for it to ship. It's nice to see a device this powerful look so similar to a Switch Lite, especially in size. Ayaneo have been absolutely fantastic with orders and interactions so far. The price is definitely high end but the early bird sale brought it down enough for me to go big. And $399 for the most basic model is lower than I was expecting. As for emulation I'm actively testing the active switch emulators for android in prep. If nothing else I still have the last build for Yuzu and Suyu. I can't wait for delivery.
