Okay so I have been looking into this as well. From what I understand it is possible to have it being a "working drive" even when you aren't home. The problem is that this has more to do with your networking capabilities rather then the NAS. You need to set up your network on your Mac/PC to make it seem like you are home rather than a remote location... static IP or a VPN kinda thing. I don't know enough about networking to get it all to work so I can't say. But it is possible and basically the same experience as any other NAS on the market In terms of the mirroring I think you would just need to choose the best RAID type for your needs to create that redundancy. I have a RAID 5 setup which gives me roughly 3 working drives and one backup in my 4 bay NAS Hopefully that helps somewhat! I also really appreciate that feedback, thank you!!

I gave my "PLEDGE" today, and now I guess I need to wait until the launch date so they can ship it out. thanks!! I honestly haven't done too much gaming on my Mac, if anything there's probably a bug going on with the new "game mode" apple introduced last WWDC. Hopefully its just a software bug because I can't see why the games wouldn't run

macOS doesn't take up too much, you're probably looking at 10-15GB used. Depending on what you plan on doing, grabbing an external SSD is always a great option to both save some money and get more storage capacity

This is called a NAS (Network attached Storage) it's like a mini server in your house you can use for things like storage or running apps.

@@Thunder-2050 Can I ask what was the Price for it ? If I am not wrong it was a kickstarter and only for USA and Germany and Im from Poland and I was looking for good but "Cheaper" Nas Storage, Sadly Synology is expensive and cheap ones have difficultis with bigger transfer files and noise :(

@@ConorButkovic You could cover more things like large blender object importing or a blender render. Compiling a standard codebase, etc. A fair amount of people buy MacBooks for programming, so that would be useful. Also general cases of watching videos for extended periods of time, zoom calls, teams, alongside battery drain comparisons. Cover the use cases of what some other types of people do in their normal day would be quite useful!
