For me when I open manage packages it simply does not search for the library, example im trying to search for luma.oled. when i type that i simply get error saying url open timed out. this only occurs when I use micropython for pi pico but doesnt occur when using python 3. Fault in python 3 is that i cannot save anything on the pico if i use it
@Core-ElectronicsДень тому
Hmmmm, that is a really strange issue I've never seen, a good start might be to start fresh and reinstall Thonny and maybe reinstall MicroPython on the Pico. If that doesn't work, feel free to chuck a post on our forums, we have lots of maker eyes over there that may be able to help. forum.core-electronics.com.au/

I'm trying to do this with 12v WS2815 addressable LEDs and a Pi Pico is it possible with an external 12v source? I've done this already with a neo pixel ring that only required 5v I have 3 x IRFZ44n hooked up to GND, RGB(strip) and also to GPIO on the Pico but I don't know how make the code work / ;

Great help. Now I want to do the same thing for a music file. It was recorded a long time ago as an MP3. I couldn't make it loop so I converted it to an MP4. It starts up and loops but the quality sounds like there's an extra channel of interference. If I play the file in VCL it sounds fine. Any ideas? (Raspberry Pi 4)

Another great tutorial! I assume, since there is a bus 0 and a bus 1 on the Pico, you could have two I2C devices on the Pico with the same address as long as they are not connected to the same bus.

Does the scale of the test print matter?
@Core-Electronics2 дні тому
It would be ideal to print a test print at its original scale. They are designed to give the printer geometries that it will struggle with if not properly calibrated. If you printed your test model at as different size, you could potentially be either making it harder for the printer to maintain the expected fidelity or making the process simpler by increasing surface area and adhesion, and therefore not an accurate indication of performance.

@@Core-Electronics gotcha, thanks for the info. Got another question...when removing supports, is it possible to not leave holes in the print when taking supports off? Should I make the support inside the print less than 0.200mm?

Hello All. If I deploy multiple ESP32 CAM modules will each have a unique IP address? I see the process for finding the IP Address of the module in the material but was curious about how this plays out with multiple devices on the same WIFI network. Do you have any experience or insight? I guess another question would be can you manually assign an IP address of your choosing to this device. Thank you in advance. Keith
@Core-Electronics2 дні тому
Hi Keith, local IP addresses are set by your router or modem, and each unique device on the network will be assigned a new IP from the designated addresses your network is programmed to utilise. You can make sure a device has a static local IP address from the settings within your router or modem, this obviously varies depending on your network hardware the best avenue to pursue is to Google your particular router/modem model number.

I did a quick search on your videos and I did not see a video for a Pico W setup as a stand alone AP/WebServer. This video looks as if the Pico W will log into the home network and then the user will access the the Pico w through the home network. A stand alone Pico W could be a GREAT future video. Maybe even utilizing the Push button/LED project for that video also. Just a thought. Outstanding Video!

@ucky92267 днів тому
Yo ! Can I make still it work without having access to a router ? Like for example to protect your connection when connecting your device to a public wi-fi through pi-hole.
@Core-Electronics6 днів тому
It's unlikely to be an effective solution using Pi-Hole portably on public wi-fi, the Pi-Hole system would be exposed to anyone else on that network. Your best bet would be a solid VPN.
@ucky92266 днів тому
@@Core-Electronics Alright, thank you very much ! I guess I can't use the raspberry pi as a hotspot protected by password with pi-hole AND VPN at the same time and it connects to public wi-fi, right ? (just asking because it would be more convenient for college dorm)

I have connected 3 usb port of raspberry pi 5 and one for mic second for Arduino and third fo a usb cam and final also connect a cooler with gpio... When the camera and mic and Arduino all come to work together its shows low power and boots up again... How can i over come from this... Any one suggest me please....
@Core-Electronics7 днів тому
You may be drawing too much power from the USB ports. If you are NOT using the official Pi 5 Power supply, you can draw up to 600ma of current, which may also be showing the low power error message. If you ARE using it, you can draw up to 1.6 amps of current.

@Core-Electronics8 днів тому
Hey Mate, with the new Bookworm OS, we have been forced to use virtual environments (not using one gives the "externally managed environment"). We have a workaround for it here: core-electronics.com.au/guides/raspberry-pi/using-virtual-environments-in-thonny-on-a-raspberry-pi/
