During the showdown on the mountaintop, I was really hoping Jester would actually do something to free Artagan (e.g. Dimension Door, Freedom of Movement) and then M9 would square up for her to kill a god like they said they would - just not the god maybe they had in mind (or avatar of said god anyway)

Kind of shook only one person in the comments has mentioned how awkward and weird Imari's "crush" and "soulmate" labeling of Grimoria and Synamynt was. Maybe it was just my own discomfort coloring things, but folks at the table seemed pretty uncomfortable too. I hope everyone had fun and had a good time and that any weirdness was handled off camera, since Malcom having any sort of "attraction" to Grimoria didn't really show up in the game itself.

Wow Aabria is an absolutely horrible DM.

So I love how C.O. is intended( or seems to be) a very heavy R.P. based game. With such basic mechanic and a fairly broad genre it leaves the experience to mostly be about method acting. As opposed to many other TTRPGs where the story and RP are often driven by considerations of game mechanics C.O. The story comes and mechanics are reactionary and minute, but have resounding repercussions and the RP makes most of the game content.

This system reminds me a lot of the Cypher system and the Dungeon World system, between the emphasis on characters establishing pre-existing relationships and how a lot of it seems very freeform, very left up to the players' own interpretation. And, you know what? I love those systems, so this looks pretty cool.

This gives me Cypher System and Star Wars age of rebellion vibes. Using hope like effort and fear like gm intrusions or light/dark side points. Then stress similar to age of rebellion's strain I do like the health system though. It makes it quick to assess damage and not get one shot as a mage as easily.
