I would think about painting the metal roof a type of reflective white paint! Specially since you guys live in the desert climate it will save you from accumulating to much heat and turning Gary Garage into a microwave oven!

It has been an incredible thing to watch someone else's vision of a building unfold. No amount of words could ever have shown me how it would look. I'm wishing you all all the best as (having been there myself) I can see that sometimes "hanging in there" is more difficult than others. It's a fantastic thing to know that God has your backs....

Now that is a great shop! Titanium white paint on the roof for lowest albedo. (also eats pollution) odd thing, I discovered that orange/fruit mesh bags make good reinforcement for pavers. Love the herring bone adobe bag lay pattern!

I was SO SO sorry to hear about Gary passing. He always amazed me as a father to all and seemed so unflappable in the face of adversity. In 2022 I lost my little brother to Covid, and pretty much stopped watching everything that we used to watch together. So I am now just catching up with everything now. I am now a father, and I hope that I can be Half as good a teacher as Gary was, because you all are amazing,, creative and intelligent. I hope that my kids will grow up much like you all with an absolute love for creating and learning.

And I’m totally vested in this video now. Plan on watching the entire thing.

I do like all the hard work ya’ll are doing with this mobile home, but i have to suggest you change the bathroom paint color to compliment that tile you put in the shower. The sea foam green does not give that tile the attention it deserves.

Gary would be so proud. You all are such a huge blessing to my heart. Praying that the Lord continues to help you all in your endeavors and that He will continue to help the family as you all find a new normal. I know that we have never met, and we may never meet until heaven, but I love you all!! Thank you for continuing to share!

Both of my little boys ARE loud, but they have not found an appreciation for loud noises and tools yet. Maybe that is part of the loudness equation Brei has noticed.

I grew up in NM and for a part of that time we live between the Dona Ana and Oregon Mountains....almost midway! The lowest lying area between the two was at the foot of the Dona Anas, or at least closer to them. There was about 100 acre area where all of the monsoon rains ended up, usually standing about 1' to 2' during the season and finally drying up. Within a week or two of the area becoming dry it would burst to life in bright yellow. The area could be seen from miles away, it was beautiful!!!

Drift pins (looks like big nail sets: tapered steel rods from about half the hole diameter to full hole diameter) work well to line up the holes. We assembled each arch on the ground and lifted it into place (25 feet wide, 36 feet long, 14 feet tall).

His project is kinda like Quill not wanting to open the last gift from his mom, but once he dose it opens up a whole new world of possibilities. Don't see this as the last project your dad designed, see it as the inspiration for all your projects to come. No one would be prowder of everything you are accomplishing then your dad right now. ❤

I’ve had a similar situation happen to myself using mud rotary and recovered my drill string fairly easily. Like many have suggested to you, taking 1inch-2inch poly pipe roll and add an air fitting in the bottom shaped like a J. Tape your air line every 10 or so feet to the poly and connect whatever air compressor available to you and let it run. Being you have a camera to scope the well with you can check every 30 minutes or so as to how much sediment has been removed from on top of your cable head socket. Just keep the bottom of the poly pipe touching the sediment and you should be able to clean everything out and around your cable head socket so you can use your overshot to retrieve your drill string. If the broken cable is still sticking out of the cable head socket you’ll need a tool that looks like a corkscrew and will have to try rotating your main drum line and twisting the cable into it. Hope this helps 👍🏻
