Relax. He may just be playing around for his own enjoyment with programming this. He may have zero intention of ever releasing anything other than updates and screenshots of his work. Total respect for him even if that is the case.. he has enough money that he does not need to do this at all.. so he is doing it for his own enjoyment of the process. Now. if a game actually comes of it.. that would just be icing on the cake.

I heard that with the hallowed he was going to be like a statue and you have to go up to him and mine it but I guess I mixed up that with the stalker i suppose. I like the idea and I think they should have just brought that back into the nether they could have kept the same mechanic but instead it's the hallowed and it would work perfectly with the nether maybe you get a rare item if you managed to beat him

I should also point out that I've actually had nightmares about the warden before. this thing would have probably done the same thing the Hallowed

There is something that I've been wondering for the longest while so you know how they have a potterysherd called the mourner and it basically looks like the stalker? I wonder why they decided to call it the mourner? Maybe because it's sad that it got scrapped?

The stalker kind of reminds me of siren head a little bit. Only difference he can bend down and chase you through smaller block size which the idea of that just completely irks me

I say to Mojang you should keep the idea of this version of the warden the one that is trypophobia, maybe reuse it later on. I can imagine him being a nether mob. Maybe he'll hold something very important something very rare that you need and if you mine it he's going to attack you. But make him actually killable unlike the warden. Or you could have the same Warden mechanics with the idea of being a statue like creature they can combine two ideas and mechanics you know.

Tip; make more than 1 layer. The first time building this it was super slow, after building 2 more layers I’m seeing faster spawning
