The OG Kami band are phenomenal... Babymetal came out swinging, and no one was prepared for it! I wasn't.... I was blown away and laughing at the same time. Just positive vibes and appreciation of the music and dancing.

Remember seeing this at the time with no prior knowledge of any of their material, I had seen some great Japanese punk bands in the 80's before. The blend of pop and metal was unique and refreshing.

I used to watch this show for the first year. I remember seeing this and showing my brother and nephews they loved it. Lead Guitarist to me has the most beautiful smile I've ever seen.

A few of their songs are sort of grim, and without brightness. Exodus can get away with it (in glorious style, at their best), but I think happy, bright elements within the metal helps their music. I was a bit disappointed to notice that when what appear to be harmonies occur, the other two girls don't seem to be singing, and it is so perfect, it seems to be a harmonizer. I'd prefer real harmonies, to give it more of a sense of a group, and for the musician's faces not to be covered, so as to give them some recognition. I do enjoy this song a lot, myself. I wonder about their shadowy producer, though.

Any guitarists out there that can tell me what kind of amp those guys are using? Tone is fire 🔥
