I still think we are neglecting to investigate mind travel as an alternative to space travel. There is a wide body of "distance viewing," astral projection and LSD studies done by the CIA in the past. Friction is the main problem in space travel but thought travel has no resistance. In the next 50 years we could be surprised at the ability of the mind(s) to possibly transmit long distance messages and even travel through space.

Honestly, any time travel theory that doesn't account for the fact that your matter would coexist in the same space as past matter should be seriously scrutinized. If I were to sit still and suddenly start moving backwards in time, my past self would still be there, making me fill the same space and time as myself, likely instantly killing myself. A time machine would need to ensure that you were instantly transported to a perfect vacuum in order to ensure that the matter survives the process.

I have a couple problems with the information in this video. First, quantum entanglement can't transmit information because it doesn't work how you explained it to work. Changing one particle does not change the other particle. If it did, then we could use that to transmit information, even if it is a single bit of information. Quantum entanglement is simply the phenomenon of giving two particles the same properties so that even if they are measured separately, the still exhibit those properties. Second, I would argue that a block universe and light cones are mutually exclusive. A light cone implies the existence of different possible futures, while a block universe inherently exhibits the inability for the future to change. A light cone is based on the theory that there are different possibilities for you to exist in, which, if we are all just word lines that are predetermined, is not something that can exist, because our light cones would simply be how our particles obey the laws of physics.

I think that paradoxes simply cannot happen. And the scenario you gave was physically impossible. You ask the question “who wrote the letter.” And that question certainly is thought provoking. Very scenario must have a beginning, a cause, that letter must have been written. It’s not possible for it to not have been written. And if you die, you cannot write it, you cannot go back in time to give it to your past self. Since these things cannot happen, yet they must happen for the scenario to exist, the scenario is just impossible. As for predestination, when you go back in time and change something from happening, you create an alternate timeline. Your past is your past, it happened, you cannot change it. If you go back in time and kill your younger self, you won’t remember getting killed. You’ll remember what actually happened that day, and nothing more. You won’t disappear, you’ll just not be alive in this new timeline. The past you went to becomes your present, the present you left becomes your future, and the past you tried to change is still the past that you tried to change. You are, for all intents and purposes, a separate entity from the younger you that you killed.

What he is showing looks more like rice, but the 19mm conclusion is more accurate for poppy seeds. However, this is not the important mistake. If the seed is supposed to be 10,000 units (Myriads) or grains of sand, then at 14:42 he says, "if we imagine that each grain of sand weighs around 10 milligrams...". If there are 10,000 grains each weighing 10mg in a poppy seed - that seed weighs 10 grams - that one massive poppy seed! (2 Nickles weigh 10 grams and they're dense metal).
