I’m the black sheep of the family and I did put myself there, but I’ve always crawled my way back and I still am put down behind my back. Like I get how I feel about myself like I deserve it but its starting to get ridiculous. I’m 4 years clean, earning an honest paycheck and still when my family doesn’t know I’m right around the corner or l hear my mom on the phone with my sister or my aunt, they constantly say I’ll always drag her down and to cut me lose cause I’m a loser. My moms always had my back and has never ever turned her back on me but I’m scared one day she will. Lately I’ve been noticing she’s just so short with me saying i don’t want to talk turn the tv back up and when she gets a phone call she’s all happy and talking to them (sister or aunt) for the 5th time that day. I’m seriously tired of being angry and letting them get to me but I just can’t turn off that anger and hatred towards my aunt and sister. Idk what to do

I thank God my Mom prepared me for going no contact. She would always say " you don't know your sister." I had no clue. I adored my sister. I thought she was a powerful woman of God, an amazing mother and a daughter who sacrificed her life to care for our mother and elderly relatives. All along she was a WHOLE bible toting, church attending PSYCHOPATHIC DEMON 👿 👿👿👿👿

Good one! Today, people are forced to be Yes-sayers to almost everything, in their jobs, otherwhise afraid of losing job. I grew up in a time, when kids should sit, especially girls, and just be "nice" and say yes to everything adults said or did, in my early life. Now in over 65 yrs old, and since being sick, see through a lot of not so good patterns in the caringsystem I live with in my country, and others. around 20 yrs ago, started slowly to change my own patterns of yes-saying, into, daring to say No more when I felt it was better, for me to be authentic enough. Many could not stand it, used as they were to have a very compliant human before. Today when I see bad patterns in the caringsystems. Have to having to do with them daily. Right now, for an elderly parent, get so oustracised, for doing that. And it is so hard to get, any truth out of the huge stale systems of today, just doing their thing, not listening to any other viewpoint than they are used to. New Public Managements fault=? Most of them, "hala som ålar" never get any straight answer out of them, as if that can be implemented into whatever "business" Caringsystems should not be inverted to see all people as cusomers, only. Faultfinding, ongoing, on the one who point to any different approach. No I cant change a stale system by myself, but many more should wonder, How could this become like it is. Never been so tired, of uncompromicing perfectionistic systems. It has gotten worse, and it does not help to talk to people about a different approach towards, how they organise.or Why this way. Terrible stiffness in many. Then you get targeted and shittalked. It is no good in always saying yes, and so hard, to get through with different things, in how to work with a little more wisdom in the organisation, not just fleeting answers, or hardnecked.

I was taking my oldest son to school one day. Thinking 6th grade , had issues with a staff member , my son had asthma and I also worked with Head Start , long story short 😕 , I saw the horror how he was treated , I not only had seen through his eyes but also heard , SO I PULLED HIM OUT OF THAT OF THAT SCHOOL , BEST DECISION I MADE , ALSO CHILDREN MUST NOT ONLY TO BE SEEN BUT NEED TO BE HEARD TOO 🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤😊😊😊

I'm a late 60s senior. I went no-contact with my only sibling a month ago. Our parents (bio and step) are long deceased. Bio mom was the narcissist, and my sibling, with genuine accomplishments, but also a liar with with zero sense of accountability, still carries mom's torch of aggrieved entitlement. Conventional wisdom says that I should grieve going no-contact with my sibling, but I feel no grief-- only an overwhelming sense of relief. Sometimes I wonder if there's something wrong with me that I feel no grief now-- or if there's a possibility that I grieved the relationship long ago, and when I finally had the courage to go no-contact, I was going no-contact with the corpse of a relationship which I hoped and wished could exist.

I truly love and deeply respect my fellow physician and Hungarian (Budapest) descendant, Gabor, but our massively overpopulated "toxic culture" demands submission from us at a very young age, when we lose our expansive grandiose world view as our "terrible twos" are quashed (unless you're a spoiled brat like DJT) and we are trained to sit, sit still, sit in school, sit in meetings, sit, sit, sit..., all as an expression of submission to a higher, more powerful authority, our parent (s), our teachers, our coaches, our priests/ministers, our doctors, etc. etc. No wonder we men are more likely to develop prostate cancer if we have lived sedentary lives, which so many of us have been forced to do. Also, with all due respect for my dear Gabor, we are clan/band animals and evolved to respect parental authority in order to benefit from their experience of a potentially dangerous natural environment. Respecting proper authority is one thing, sitting throughout our lives in our massively overpopulated urban/suburban centers is a by-product of our "toxic culture". So, my advice is to stand-up for ourselves whenever and wherever we can get away with it. Namaste', Peace out!

This is a fantastic video about "why" or "how" we get angry and an enlightening insight into the relationship between frustration and aggression. The only problem is that the title of this video is "Healthy Ways to Show Anger Without Harm." There is not one single offering of ways to Show Anger Without Harm. There is a brief discussion about getting therapy (asking for help) and even a recommendation (4:20) on how to be aware of the anger to focus on mindfulness or activities that encourage mindfulness (i.e. martial arts).

Whoa. Climate change? Amazing after the conversation about self awareness. Pollution has a direct, measurable impact on the health of eco systems and many species, including our own. Can we address the spew causing cancer near the plants they’re so worried about producing plant food? Or the other ways human bodies are being polluted by industry? Instead of the one issue all then politicians are lined up with pockets open to agree on these days.
