In my 3 days working with cannabis. My coworkers couldn't stress the need for airflow enough because the stress from the wind made stronger plants

As others have said, get a fan for air movement. In the stadium I work at the groundskeepers have giant fans that blow the grass around, which makes them stronger and more able to stand up.

You need to get a fan in your green house. It needs a slight breeze to toughen up the cell walls in the plants makes for crisp salad.

Also wind is important for strong stems.. so a ventilator blowing at high speed and turning would help the plants.

I would just put the desiccant into a sheet similar to a weighted blanket that way you can roll it out. Based on conditions and time you can gauge when its saturated and roll out another sheet ontop or harvest. Then just put them into one those containers and let the water condense out from thermal or any method you shown.

this is a really cool series that keeps surprising with all the innovation and problem solving. at risk of stating the obvious, I'd ask why the tubing to and from the heat exchanger is so small... you'd get a much higher flow with a half inch or more of diameter, given friction and all that.

Not sure you know, but the consensus of the comment section is... The plants need wind.

Every system point where an abnormal condition could result in mission failure needs a safety sensor. e.g. the open chicken gate should have lit/posted a notice alarm.

The reason your plants are so thin and not as strong is because there is no wind to strengthen the "stocks". The cause of them stretching is because they are trying to stretch to the light source.

Sorry Cody, but being a project to simulate a base on another planet, and this would need global cooperation, wouldn't be better to use the metric system instead of imperial? It's more precise and easier to convert to other variables and to the imperial system if needed. This is not a critical problem, and I know you are in the USA and there you use the imperial system but I genuinely think it's a better system to use in scientific experiments and exploration. Love the work you do, I wish I had better teachers who gave me the same desire to learn, like you do.

Sad about your rooster, may he rest in peace. Kool update on the greenhouse and the air ventilation/water recirculation. Perhaps it would be an idea to add a fan within the greenhouse to move air around aswell as moving the leaves of the crop so they grow stronger?

Greenhouse would benefit from a fan to move the air around. This will not only help reduce pest and diseases, but improve pollination and plant structure via thigmomorphogenesis.
