Because a protein shake fill you less than eating a meat with the same amount of calorie. My girlfriend been underweight all her life, and I saw her so many time trying to eat more and get literally sick. As short guy standing at 5'4" get wanting be taller. I absolutely do, but the potential risk to pay off just isn't there for me. I got my eyes fixed with lasik, but the % of success was something much higher, as the doctors I went had done over 200K surgeries and couldn't blinded that many people and still been in business. This stretching surgey is quite new, and long term effects of it haven't been worked out yet. I don't feel like the potential gain of a few inches worth all pain and grief included with it. At 5'4" I get be like 5'8"ish I'm still below average. The guy who was already married and has wife who loves, why bother? I dated a woman I was a foot shorter than at 6'4". (our relationship ended after several years but our height difference had nothing to do with why.)The biggest reason to do this to improve your odds with women, but if you already got that in your favor...I see no reason to change this. Just seems really vain to jeopardize your health for something you have already won the battle for. Ultimately I'd rather stand on a pile of money as that makes you tall enough for the majority of women out there than mess around with this experimental surgery. I know short guys have fewer women who like them, but there's still an audience especially if you have enough charisma. You can overcome this. Yes it's not fair you have be smarter, funnier, and more charming than your tall counterparts but I find once I get my foot in the door, I can hold a woman's interest just fine. May be science will create a far less painful and less dangerous means of achieving this end of making people taller, but I will pass on the options availible for right now. I imagine some day humans will be able to step into a chamber, and edit our bodies like a character creator from a video game in process that happens in a short period of time and step out a brand new person,but we aren't there yet so I will keep playing the hand I have been dealt.
