This is my favorite show, and I can not tell you how many times I have watched it start to finish. Can't wait for season 13 to come to Netflix

My mother is white while my father got dark skin , i used to get taunted by my female relatives and ignored by my classmates because of my tan skin (that's what i thought) , tho i was introvert so i had problem with communicating but it got better, even tho i was tan and couldn't confess to my crush ...i got to know that he preferred me over other girls in the class , eventually i open up more and made friends...i had people like me regardless of my skin tone . After covid i stayed isolated for 2yrs and my tan was removed before i had wheatish complexion which got much lighter as there was no contact with sunlight .... the only thing that changed was the behavior of my female relative ....i was back into my introverted self so i have problem making friends. I think it's not skin tone , your facial structure and most importantly your personality makes your attractive I may have light tone (i think it's warm one?) But I'm a loser by heart.... I also think it depends on the region where you come from...some people are more acceptable to your complex while some might bully u or hate u for it

This hatred happens in all races that have melanin including black Americans, Africans, Afro Latina, Hispanic, Mexican, Caribbean etc BETTER LOVE YOURSELF WRAPPED BY GOD IN BEAUTIFUL BROWN SKIN🤎 that experiment with dolls happened in America decades ago

What puzzled me a bit was the Presenter, Hugh Dolan, doesn''t clarify that his Great Grandfather, Lt. C. White, is apparently on his Mothers side of his family.

It amazes me how much things have changed since I first gave birth in 1982. For my first five children I stayed in the hospital for a week. By the time I had my 7th & 8th (twins) moms would deliver and go home on the same day! While I missed my other children while I was in the hospital I believe it's important for mom to give her body some time to rest as well as time to bond with her baby. I'm grateful that here in Canada we can choose to have a home birth with a midwife now

What a wonderful program this was!!! I've loved 'Call the Midwife' from the beginning and Stephen's presentation and input showed the reasons why it's so very well loved by many.

Stephen McGann, you definately bring this subject matter easily to my attention. This is not the first time I have viewed this documentary.

Hard to believe that 12,000 people have climbed that mountain and with all the ladders and shepas the sucess rate is 92% Heck only 69% of folks pass their first driving exam.

Nuns train as normal nurses and midwives within the NHS , to this day. Many mission stations around the world are staffed by nuns, they do a superb job and are much respected .

I dont against plastic surgery when it's done for a purpose like accident, u need face reconstruction. But thats it only intended. Not changing whole looks, or please for 18 yr to do botox. Or even 40 do botox. Just embrace aging. I think if the plastic surgeon can stop this, and have clear conscience& direct patients to treat their mental illness, send them to psychiatrist.

It is sad that people don’t value inner beauty but only the outside. Very shallow.
@gaurimathur556 днів тому
It is a very unfair documentary on Indians. It has more to do with freedom of choice. Most of the fair skinned westerners want darker skin. There is a multi billion dollar tanning industry and skin darkening products for those who want a darker skin. They would even sit for hrs in the sun despite cancer fears. This is another case of anti India journalism ‼️

Heart wrenching to watch the climbers try to revive Sharp. And even harder to know that they had to leave him there. Based on the footage I saw of the last part of the climb. I don’t see how it would have been physically possible to move him down the mountain. I think one has to know or be at peace with one’s self, that if you choose to ascend Everest you might pay with your life.

It’s nothing to do with British. It’s the innate mentality that goes way beyond British. These people who just blame it on British but carry on with the same mentality. Sick 🤢

I think we can blame no one. However, passing by a human being in need of help, fighting for his life, and being indifferent is not okay. They should at least make sure that help is coming and that he has oxygen, or at least ensure that the help call is going through. We as human beings should not be selfish. Egotism and selfishness are the main problems of our society!

3:30 the repeated bleaching damages the skin. So, any sun exposure is like burning the skin all over again. And children are learning from their parents and media, yeah when they get to choose toys they go for the favored color. Even the hydation treatments will have bleach or mercury in them. See interviews.

I've never seen a show yet that they did. That was like my own if it wasn't for modern Medicine, my son and I would never have made it out of the delivery room. He was so incredibly stuck. They were going to have to cut my hips in half. They used to have to do that to a lot of irish women Fortunately they didn't but if it was back in the day maybe We wouldn't have made it.

This was an excellent piece of work about the series and the REAL people behind it. I am a nurse and I can normally pick a medical to pieces for doing things wrong. This series did everything RIGHT!!! I absolutely loved it!! As an American we didn’t have the same type maternity care so seeing how it was done across the pond was extremely interesting. Thank you for the behind the scenes look at life. ♥️♥️

The commercial media is a BS machine with a vested interest in keeping the audience interested. Controversy is their bread and butter or failing that, the chequebooks of powerful vested interests and clients. I have no problem with special needs climbers not helping people. I have no problem with exhausted climbers not helping people, depending In the dark, in the death zone, in bad weather, it is every climber for themselves. Every person on that mountain that night was fighting to survive. I do have a problem with radio operators denying they did not receive transmissions from people on the mountain. I do have a problem with climbers going up in the afternoon, not helping Sharp. Mistaking Sharp for green boots, or just not seeing him. These are all very real probabilities when you are stretched to the limit and concentrating on the next step you make.
