ESPN is not doing well. Peak ESPN subscribers was over 100 million. They are down in th 70 million range and slowly dwindling. That is billions of dollars of subscriber fees that are not coming back. Live sports is better than other things but their audience is not growing. The NFL is the crown jewel and gets 15 million viewers a week in the regular season. That is 5% of the US population. Live sports is a sinking ship, but is sinking slower than everything else.

Top performers on the S&P are oversold, almost everyone dropped quite large at earnings lately. If look at the 8 year chart for most of these stocks, they are still way way up or flat. Almost none are actually losing other then the pump and dumps of 2020-2021. DIS is pretty much flat. Please actually do some real reporting, not grabbing some headlines. Also when you lead up to earnings / reports almost everything gets pumped so even if it dumps, it's flat or still green overall.

Seeing an image that causes you to "ask questions" and "sparks a conversation" does not in any way translate to ticket sales. It looks like a comic book cover where curiosity for the fans is enough. If you want ticket sales the audience (and especially for comic book fare) needs to be exited to see it. To get up out of their comfy chairs, lay down big $ for the ticket, lots more $ for food and drink and a couple hours of their time. And, even better, make the movie good enough to get some exited for a repeat viewing.

I always said Disney plus was a bad idea from the second I heard it. I knew that Disney would have a better chance of sticking to third party streaming services like Netflix and Hulu.
