Such a classic, and music today can not compare to this.

For some reason this song was in my deep memory and I haven't heard it in probably almost 50 years. My dad had the single "Woman" with this as the B side of course. I remember going through his records and playing this song over and over again when I was a little kid. He told me he had bought it for the A side back in the 60s. I couldn't remember the title of this song until I Googled the "Woman" single to figure out what the B side was.

Saw these guys live at Red Rocks Amphitheater in Denver well technically West of Denver. In an altered state. Either 67, 68 or 69 I have no idea.

I actually like this song better than "I Had Too Much To Dream Last Night" but not to say that song was bad.

The version they recorded after they got electric instruments. The biggest publishing money maker for McGuinn or Clark.

I was a young drummerwhen this came outand I learned every part faithfully. Many years later, I was privileged to interview Carmine on my radio show. Years after that, here I am picking out songs for this week's show, and this magically appeared again. New music is good, but just as important to keep great music like this in the public's ears too. Most of them weren't lucky enough to grow up in the 1960s and '70s, the greatest period of musical creativity and innovation ever.

To be stoned and listening to Vanilla Fudge back in the late 60s, well,......it was heavy.....good heavy......

I was about 8 or 9 when first exposed to the Classics IV by my 10 years older brother. When he left for college, he left me his little record player and a stack of 45s all the way to the ceiling. I was exposed early to all the big names of the day including the Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Vanilla Fudge, The Beach Boys, The Ventures, and Dave Clark Five. Still have a huge appreciation for the music of those days, but most of my favorites were from the 70s. My brother has gone on to be with the Lord, but I will always credit him with my love of music.

Rechanneled to simulate Stereo. You Keep Me Hangin' On was never recorded or mixed down to stereo by Shadow Morton in 1967 so it only exits in Mono... Even the Stereo version of the album SD33-224, the track is in mono. Any "stereo" mix of this song online was unofficially done by audio software to simulate stereo and not issued by Atlantic/Atco.

This song is fantastic It has all the elements Brian applied in California Girls. 12 string hooks, organ arpeggios, walking bass lines, soaring harmonies. All foreshadowing Pet Sounds and Good Vibrations. The use of silence before the chorus has not been duplicated and was ground breaking 💔

Holy cow, I am so glad this video was recommended. I had no idea what the song was, but I was intrigued by the picture so I clicked on it. As soon as I heard the first couple of notes I knew exactly what song it was. It's such a wonderful song. I remember hearing this on the car radio when I was a little girl. Our family had a CORVAIR!
