When I was 23, I spent two years teaching in a school for children with physical and mental disabilities.This had a profound impact on my thinking. Each day I worked with students’ who struggled so much, yet they always did their best.They taught me so much about life that I had taken for granted.I felt so guilty because I was so fortunate to have my health, and I was spending my time mindlessly numbing myself in front of a screen.I decided that the minimum I could do was make use of my potential,and try become a better version of myself.
I’ve always been an ideas’ guy, but not so good at following them through with actions.So now, I’m using this platform to hold myself accountable for all the things I said I would do, but never actually got around to.This will be a diary of my attempts to learn new things, and hopefully it will keep me honest.By recording my progress here, I can see exactly where I started and how far I have come. And I can have a good laugh at myself along the way.
