Some people watch music reaction videos because they want to hear other people's opinion or the UKpostsr is really entertaining. The annoying part is when their reactions suck or it lasts a few seconds.

good video, but I will venture to add something else that annoys me. Too many members in a group. I will say groups in excess of 5 members they tend to have TOO many members. People will hate me for this but I think that TWICE could be completely functional as a 5 member group instead of a 9 member group. it took me awhile to realize who was who in TWICE and then I realize that some members had only 1-2 lines in each song!!! when you have so many members then you will end up with useless members. I am not naming names but there are at least 4 members in TWICE that could form their own group and be successful. And yes, I love Babymonster (7) but I have heard very few lines from 2 of the members since Ahyeon came back. This doenst mean that 2 members are useless but they don't have anything to do!!! The 2 members who have little to do are; Chiquita and Rora. There are many groups that don't utilize their members well, and the reason is because the groups have too many members. I actually like 4 and 5 member groups like G-Idle and Blackpink they have the right amount and they have great stage presence without being cluttered. One example is the 6th or 7th member leaving and you barely notice that they are gone. Look at Jini leaving NMiXX, can you tell? or Kim Garam's absence from Le Sserafim? or even Soojin from G-Idle? If a group continues to be successful with fewer members that means you have excess members. I just prefer a smaller tight knit group.

Prereleasing tracks is actually pretty smart as it enables the group to peform both songs. For example, Aespa is releasing 'Supernova' on the 13th and their full album on the 27th. This will enable them to promote both of their title tracks.

I think its high time yeonjun deserve to get a solo

i don't think u need to be good at all the skills to go solo. For example, Lisa from blackpink isn't the most prominent vocalist, yet I could see her thriving in the industry as a soloist because she appeals to the masses. Appealing to the masses and industry is what really matters as the most talented person might not be recognised as a soloist. To appeal to the masses there needs to be a certain thing you excel at+something that makes you unique to a wide audience , especially because of how oversaturated the Kpop/music industry is today. If we look at a group like blackpink, most of the members (probably except jisoo) could thrive as soloists because they have unique qualities that most idols lack.

Yeah, I don't like Kookielit either. Their opinion is so biased that it's laughable. They're just a bunch of Itzy and SKZ haters down there, so they don't deserve any respect.

I agree that not every idol is meant to go solo. I disagree with them having to be good at everything, some solid skill in one-two areas and solid basics in other are plenty enough and succesful soloist we have today prove it quite well. IU sings great and has good stage presence. Lisa rocks dancing and rapping while having some good singining basics, even if it's not her strength. Of course, there are also plenty of aces like Chungha or Jungkook but even they choose they strenghts wisely and don't force everything all at once. Jungook, being a good rapper, focuses on singing. Chungha, being a great dancer, uses a song like "I'm ready" to show it but for main track - so the one that gets performed live - she chooses easier choreography to highlight the vocals. Also, I think that IVE is a pretty bad example of a group with no soloist potential. Yujin is as promising as they come, Wooyoung already has proven she has what it takes to capture publicity and has a similiar skill set to IU: good vocals eith graceful stage presence and elegant, easy dance moved. Rei, if she works on vocals, potentially could also make for a good soloist with her stage presence and rap. So, as much as I believe there are group with no soloist candidates, IVE is ansolutely not one of them.

I agree with you half way on the plastic surgery opinion. Me and Yuna are the same age so I think it’s a mix of both hip pads and her just growing up. All my life, I’ve been skinny to the point that my doctor recommended me Ensure because I couldn’t gain nor maintain weight and I’m just now getting curves and gaining some weight at 20 years old. Yuna might be experiencing something similar and she’s most likely using hip pads a lot to accentuate it. But, she could’ve also had plastic surgery. All idols use some type of body enhancement(s) whether surgical or not it’s apart of the job because their selling a fantasy

While I would agree that not every member of a group should go solo, I completely disagree with the statement that a soloist has to be able to do everything. Take (G)I-dle´s Miyeon for example: When she did here solo release she was still terrible at rapping (and I would guess she would never have done it if Soyeon hadn´t forced her to do it in wife), if they perform she is also the most likely to screw up the choreo and here stage presence at least within the group is also on the weaker side. But her solo debut was great and successful because it just focussed on her voice. She doesn´t have to dance around when she performs her songs, all she has to do is sing and that is completely enough.

I have a little disagreement with your first point on going solo. Yes, not all idol are ready for solo and if you see very few kpop idols are considered SOLOIST like Hwasa, hyuna, yena, chung ha, iu, jungkook and many more. If you see one common thing in all of them is that no matter you are a fan of any other group you have an idea of them and can hum their at least 1 song. It means that they are good and they are doing their job great. And as per your opinion on Jisoo and Lisa i disagree. It might seem like i am just another blink defending blackpink but its more like talking about potential here. Lisa might have weak vocals but she has great stage presence, one of the best in the industry. you cant expect people to be perfect like you said they are also humans and they are alive. Its the balance that of skills that makes them capable. As for Jisoo she might have weak vocal and stage presence but her interaction with her fans is what makes the fan root for her. If they were not capable and people did not prefer to consider their skills then why would they pay thousands of dollars to get to their concert. And for ive its too early to say if they are capable or not. Just because you do not see anyone stand out does not mean they are not capable. Taking example yena is a successful soloist but in group she was not that much visible due to many members and line distributions. hope you get what i mean.

You said not everyone is capable of going solo because they don't have skill I agreed to it but your explanation didn't match what you said. It sounded more like you were rather discussing about the song then bp members ability. If you have issue with the song itself than that has nothing to do with the idols skill. For example you clearly like solo more than on the ground and lalisa but lalisa and on the ground needs more skill to perform. Solo is a simple song with basic vocal and rap and dance. If the idol releases one bad song then next time it can be super good.

Thank you for talking about K pop groups using religion concepts especially Christianity like it's nothing... I like the Le Sserafim's music, at first I wasn't paying too much attention to the origin of their concept, I knew it had religious connotations but the music videos I've seen before there was nothing that caught my eye as offensive... but once I saw the Easy video that's when they crossed the line, they used too many symbolism in a very disrespectful way, this should not be accepted and at all

kinda disagree with your "Babymonster is similar to Blackpink" point. YG is literally just hiphop company that makes hiphop music and hiphop groups. I can agree with, "they have the same music" but that's all there is to it, because it's the same company that is doing the same genre of music...like since the 90s. That's why other companies cant hit the hiphop concept properly. They have their own mastery of the craft and they just focused on it. (But of course, there are a smaller number of artists under YG that do diff genre) At least YG is releasing ONE group each gen (skipped 1 gen with BM). HYBE on the other hand, does it while one of their group is currently active with the SAME concept and genre.

regarding ur 3rd point, the reason for shorter songs is for money and I agree 100% percent. BUT that is very short sighted of these companies. I see that there are certain groups/companies that embrace the short song concept bc they are here just to make money and dont care about the fans or idols. What these companies dont see is the $$$ from streaming is very small comparative to the $$$ that can be maid by touring. the groups/companies that you see that has adopted the short song concept, have not really tour and are still banking on streaming for revenue. BUT will fans go see NJ or LSF and paid over exaggerated/inflated prices for a concert that is barely 2 hours long including time to interact with fans and breaks. Look at IVE current tour, they are selling out venues for their very first tour and their concert is almost 3 hrs, and so far no has really complained about the ticket prices bc the fans are getting what they are paying for. FOR NJ or LSM to pull off a 3 hr concert they basically have to play their whole discography, have individual solo performances for each member and AND add about 45 mins of filler time, and top of that ... we a;ll know how HYBE loves top jack up prices and screw the fans. (sorry for the long rant)

wonyoung is my ult bias and i agree seeing a picture of her actually got me into kpop as a whole but her work ethic has kept me a stan of hers
