Did you add brackets for a carseat by chance??
@BackroadPurpose9 днів тому
We did not. we could have tied into the rib on the side pf the bus but decided to drive a car separately and kept the kids in there.
@gunks_getaway26 днів тому
Did you have any problem with weight distribution (left to right). Your bus is laid out the same as ours. (Everything on the driver's side, and a hallway on the left).
@BackroadPurpose9 днів тому
We did not. even with having a full or empty fuel tank on the passenger side the bus drove the same from day one.

Pull your tube out a inch or two so you have enough fuel to get the the station when the heater dies

You don't understand how to start a diesel engine, and now you're going to NJ to buy a rusty bus....you should quit while you're ahead.

lol I appreciate the insight. You should watch the current videos and see how I’ve progressed.

Hey! Appreciate the video very much, been trying to figure out using 120V switches for led lighting in my conversion. Being now years later, have you had any issues with the 120V switch failing, needing to replace it at all? thanks!
@BackroadPurpose9 днів тому
no issues at all using AC switches with DC lights.

Just be very careful and vigilant who you invite into your bus home. You can endanger your family.

i appreciate the care. very cautious on who we surround ourselves by. my family was not around when I filmed this video.

comfy seats for 6, minimal kitchen, a toilet/shower and plenty of storage in the back for bikes/stroller/beach cart is what id love to see. I usually see tons of space wasted on kitchens but no space to work/read/play. Looking forward to the build and hope i can afford it!
@BackroadPurpose2 місяці тому
Agreed! We’re still coming up with some ideas for complete function and utilization.

Your problem is not enough INSULATION..... Too many Widows loosing heat.
@BackroadPurpose2 місяці тому
? The bus has insulation. We used foamboard for our first build.

There is an dry cell powered pump to move fuel from a container to a fuel tank. it would be easier and less messy than holding the can to pour the fuel in.
@Turboboob2 місяці тому
Searching for fuel efficiency info on youtube for these and I found your vid, thanks! Seems these are a hell of a lot more efficient than electric heaters, $100 a month in diesel is awesome compared to $350 that I spend on electricity to run two little electric space heaters. Just bought two of these 😃
@EffieG-ez9tf2 місяці тому
Had you compared lithium phosphate to lithium ion before choosing which mini-split to install? Just wondering why you went with the lithium ion. Also, when your bedroom doors are closed and all the a.c. is kept inside there, what do your kids do to stay cool on a hot day?

im looking at one of these to heat a 10x10 building you think it would do the job then ?
@stanb9903 місяці тому
Shorten your pickup tube for the heater and leave yourself at least five gallons in the tank Look into the heater upgrades like routing your exhaust through and old fashion steam radiator or a bucket of sand and install a real thermostat. It'll greatly improve efficiency and fuel use Tap you heater exhaust through your bus exhaust.
