Save for those magnets and a bit of the PLA glue earlier, this book is composed entirely of organic components. It is created almost entirely out of cells that once belonged to a living being, or an amalgamation of those cells. Now, those beings are Dune.

Does the thickness of the integrated problems have any impact on the binding and pages? I feel like anything bigger than another piece of paper thick always causes problems in books
@HeathsHarleyQuinnДень тому
This is so beautiful! I don't suppose anyone will answer this, but one of my linen bound Folios has a corner coming up at the very top edge of the book and I'm wondering how best to secure that corner since it's a very nice copy inherited from my grandmother. I don't want to ruin it, but I don't want leaving it to get worse and it seems such a small thing to try and find someone else to handle it.

Can I gesso oil paper with traditional gesso (rabbit skin glue and chalk and or marble) and then bind a book with that paper or will it be too brittle?
@daltondyer1515День тому
First off I know you said your painting wasn't finished but I think it was! I liked it! 2nd love your bindery, satisfying to see that you organized as well as I would. Keep up the great work, I'm a proud subscriber. Ps the bloopers were hilarious, awesome personality.

👏🙂 Congratulations!!! 🎉 I'm a new subscriber & I've only watched 3 videos so far, but I could see from the first video that this was well deserved. You're doing a great job!!! 👍👍 I appreciate the previews of your previous videos & I'm looking forward to checking them out. Especially the cute mini book & the one with the metal clasps. 😊💚

Such a beautiful and inviting craft! You sure have a great way of teaching.. Just recently found you through my son and watched several of your videos. Your Dune and Dungeons and Dragons videos are truly amazing pieces of works!! I have made a couple of beginner watercolour sketchbooks a few years back.. It's one of of a few things I would like to delve more in to. I am a bit of a sewer and use a cutting mat with plastic rulers and cutting wheel.. but, was wondering where to buy your ruler @ 3:21. please. :) Thanks, Paula.

I have a question, do you find yourself reading the book again wile your working? I feel like it would distract me from finishing
@michaelennen34323 дні тому
I see that you cut the washi with a knife. I have read that it should be torn so that there is a feathered edge - care to weigh in on this? I am looking at doing the exact same type of repair (for the first time) and want to know if it is worth the extra work of ripping the washi. Thank you!
@FourKeysBookArts3 дні тому
If it will be in a visible area (such as the torn corners I repaired in the video), then tearing the paper is the better option.
