As a Rangers fan they are one of the best hockey clubs in the NHL and Madison Square Garden it is like nothing but an amazing place to see them play, and I’ve gotten to see them play at MSG twice, might as well have to get playoff tickets for the rangers too

I like the history on the logos. There were a few that I didn't know even existed before hsnd snd I comsider myself one who enjoys finding out info on that stuff. Great video. I will suggest a video on the history of NBA jerseys. The history on them always fascinates me and peaks my curiousity to the max.

What bothers me is the fact that most of the teams have the ball as the main object of their logos, I don't see other sports over-using the ball as logos as the Nba teams does..

Really interesting to see how many NFL team names were originally tied to their baseball counterparts. In addition to paying tribute to the team who they may have shared a stadium with, I wonder if that was also done to combat the perception that football was a “barbarian” sport in early 20th century society, while the perception of baseball had improved significantly to one of a more “classy” sport…especially after appointing a commissioner after the 1919 Black Sox scandal.

Fun Fact 1: As part of the contentious, controversial, and convoluted ownership transfer of the Expos, they did play one season in Puerto Rico as the Montreal Expos. Fun Fact 2a: The Blue Jays name was also a nod to the original owners of the team, Labatt Brewing. Their signature beer is Labatt Blue. Fun Fact 2B: Ironically, due to provincial liquor laws in Ontario 🇨🇦 at the time of the Blue Jays first season, beer could not be sold in the stadium. I don’t recall if that was changed before the end of the first season, or later. Fun Fact 3: Toronto was granted an expansion team in part due to a threat, which extended to negotiations, from the owner of the SF Giants to move the team to Toronto.

The Minnesota Wild logo might be the most creative of all North American professional teams. The North Star for the eye, the river for the open mouth and teeth, the sun for the ear, and the pine trees for the fur is fantastic. The colour scheme is also spot on in capturing the wild/nature theme.

18:51 - given that this logo here is using the DIN typeface with "Round" style, it is probably someone trying to remake it. Original DIN typeface was introduced in the 1930 or 40s, but the "round" version only in the 90s. So, very likely someone had fun with it. Good font choice, tho!

Fun Fact 1: The Igloo roof was retractable, though I believe it was only ever opened twice. One of those times was for the filming of the Jean Claude Van Damme film Sudden Death. Fun Fact 2: That film was pitched by Karen Baldwin, the then-owner of the Penguins. Howard Baldwin was one of the producers of the film.

I'm a little late to this video, but I'm doing a website about the history of the ZIP Code. One thing this video doesn't mention is that in rural/suburban areas of ZIP Code regions, the last two digits generally follow the alphabetical order of the names of the towns/post offices in that area.

The Baltimore Bullets were named after an old Baltimore Bullets ABL team but shared the 60s logo with the Bata Bullets shoe -- which were made in a nearby factory. Bata Bullets were like Chucks, but they've stopped making or selling shoes in the USA (you could find them in Aus/NZ as of a few years ago)

At 34:36 where you talk about the updated Wizards logo. The three stars aren't just representing the three different communities of D.C. it's actually just an homage to the flag of DC (three red stars above two red bands on a white background) The DC flag is based on the Washington family crest. In the wizards up-to-date logo, there's a white band with a red background, there's a Washington monument, and white stars, inverted DC flag colors basically. But they could also represent the three different audiences that come to a wizards game, Virginia Maryland and DC residents.

I know I am late to this party, but the Minneapolis Lakers came from a team relocating after the 1946-47 National Basketball League, and the Lakers originated from the Detroit Gems who went 4-44 their lone season in the NBL. Fun fact the Minneapolis Lakers won the 1947-48 NBL Championship, the 1948-49 Basketball Association Of America Championship, and the 1949-50 NBA Championship, and again they won 3 straight to become the first 3-peat champions in 1951-52, 1952-53, and 1953-54. Just doing some fun researching.
