I’ve been cheated on by two different women. One of them multiple times. Heather was supposed to come to my parents house for Christmas to meet my parents. She had briefly seen them for our first date. They never really had a chance to sit and talk. Christmas Eve, we stopped by the house and she wanted to do it in my childhood bed. My parents were not home at the time. I didn’t know that was part of the plan. I had to go to my brother-in-law’s for seven fishes dinner that evening anyway. Morning, I text and text no answer. I called and called no answer. I figured she was sleeping. I had a key to her apartment door, however, not the downstairs door of all the apartments. Come to the front door it’s locked. Sometimes people left the back door propped open so they could smoke or go across the street to the minimart. I get inside the door open and then all of a sudden *BOOM%POW!! Heather and the guy she was cheating on me with started punching and scratching and punching, and scratching me. I turned around and left. She was behind behind on her rent and earlier in the month I had cashed in all my vacation and had a big check coming on the 28th and I was going to catch her rent up. She called me five minutes later she didn’t know what she was gonna do about her now I hung up. I did not ask me about my scratch on my face and where was Heather? They knew. I think about this every Christmas.
