Why do you promote tools from China, even it they gave them to you for free? Even if they are paying you. There is no excuse for this. They are dumping these tools on our market, supported by their dictatorship government. Do you think they will keep these low prices forever? When you help China and they hurt the United States. Find some other tools to review. Be a Patriot, not a Chinese parrot. Do you think China is going to be good to you, your family, and the United States if they become the main world power. Ed, I love how you explain to folks what you are doing and why you are doing it. A lot of people don't know anything about dissimilar metal corrosion. Using UHMW is the perfect material to use in this situation. First of all, it insulates the two metals from each other as well as being extremely wear resistant. I have an old Gorton vertical mill. I don't have a DRO on it, though. But it is a CNC. Crank 'n Crank😂
@unemployedredneckhillbilly20236 днів тому
Pays to play it safe when mounting anything to aluminum, especially Chinesium Aluminum. I have play in my leadscrews so the dro helps me eliminate error. Milling machines sure are handy for stuff like this. You could easily make yours a real CNC for when you get too old and weak to crank handles 😲. Thanks for watching.

Really great idea and well executed job. Well, done my friend just a couple of thoughts. What about putting a pass-through on the hitch receiver so you could still tow a small utility trailer without having to remove the toolbox Also, what are your thoughts as it’s hard to see in the video any reduction and approach angle with the toolbox hanging further back and lower not sure if this would be an issue for you taking steeper inclines
@unemployedredneckhillbilly20236 днів тому
That hitch is very light duty with a 300 pound tongue weight so you really can't piggyback anything. I have no problem on my property with that angle. A very rocky trail may be a problem but this machine is not made for that kind of use. Had to keep it low and tight for cooling and bed access. Any higher and the lid wouldn't fully open. without moving it out from under the tailgate. may move it to the front once I grind open the area that was welded together wrong by Kubota. That was a great idea, very nicely executed, My floor is down, now, in my workshop, I have got to close the front in so I can start working on making doors and frame, I have been looking 👀 at electric chainsaws, the Milwaukee looks very nice, The aluminium box looks very good , You’ll have to get your 3-D printer out and make some holders for the chainsaws and bits and pieces in your box, Keep up the great work, look forward to seeing you next project

@@unemployedredneckhillbilly2023 I used to have quite a few Milwaukee tools, especially the big angle drill For going between joist and beams, and a couple of very large floodlight, but sadly in 2019 in December when I was up in Paris trying to help somebody with a large water tank that had fallen off the wall, Luckily, it got Flexi pipes on it,anyway I got burgled I lost around €15,000 of tools and equipment., I think I might’ve said in a previous chat probably last year or the year before, Luckily, they didn’t take the two battery chargers and three batteries I’ve still got as they were in another part of my building, so I might be going for the Milwaukee chainsaw, I know this should be a day of rest, but as most people call me a heathen, I am working trying to build a sub frame , but I am trying to scribe in to the old part of the building, and then I’ve got to make a frame that will fit the sub frame, Which is now upright, I know the stuff is not very good, but I’ve got some OSB board left over. I’m going to try and close it in today., and put some plastic sheets over the front of it, stop the weather whilst I finish building the frame and a pair of doors, it was all supposed to match my front door that I made around 15 years ago, but sadly I do not have the funds available, And especially as the price of materials has gone up dramatically, My front door is made of oak and Douglas for , I think just the materials alone nowadays for the garage doors and frames will probably cost an excess of 2000 €3000, . I’ll let you know how I get on next time you released a project. Hope you both have a great weekend.,

Hi Ed.... Great stuff as usual........ I've got a hook up on my sub compact tractor instead of a bicycle carrier I'm using the 3 pt hitch with a car carrier (750 lb. capacity) trailer hitch hook up but which currently is without a box but need one as per your similar usage. I plan on adding a box, putting it on with (hasp and clasp) connectors for easy on and off of the carrier for other carrier usage and easy storage. I've been thinking about adding battery holders and rivet them to one of the sides on with an easily removable bracket, so they won't bang around and possibly get damaged. Vevor seems to offer the most reasonable pricing for adding a box. Thanks for the Vevor info as I hadn't previously identified a source for purchase. They seem to have an answer to most equipage needs at very reasonable prices. I always look forward to your next video. Take care and have a great week.
@unemployedredneckhillbilly20237 днів тому
I have one of the carrier's but it was to deep and stuck out so it made loading tough. This still let's me load things easily. I though the price forthat Vevor box was very good. nice welds and forming with good handles and lid supports. light gauge but strong enough for my use. I am finding Vevor has been good about fighting inflation with their prices. Thanks for watching.

Ed, the best rivet/cherrymax/rivet nut tool I've used is a DP Equipment Model D-100 (military surplus). It's for attaching blind rivets in aviation panels but it also has the heads for rivet nuts and regular pop rivets. Hydraulic, but hand powered and super smooth and easy to pull.

@unemployedredneckhillbilly202311 днів тому
