The first time I ever went to Augusta, I swear we thought the grass we were walking on was fake turf... It is amazing how beautiful the grass is, white the sand is and Colorful the trees and bushes are. You will hear this all the time from people who have been, TV Does it absolutely no justice. I'm a 15 handicap and I very rarely shoot in the mid 80's. I would probably shoot no less than a 125 at Augusta with a good swing that day. Several 4-putts and even a 5-putt is on the table.

I was a PGA club pro in my 20s, which involves passing a Performance Aptitude Test. That basically means playing 36 holes in one day and beating a certain score. I struggled with it for a while, but my game improved DRAMATICALLY when I quit grinding mentally on bad shots. You just need to accept they're going to happen, and relish the idea of saving par or birdie when they do.

Better question is what would the average 4 or 5 handicap golfer shoot from the Masters tees playing in Masters conditions? I say, would have a hard time breaking 100. It’s far more difficult course than it appears on TV. The elevations, deep bunkers and severe slopes and contours of the greens don’t show up on TV. You think you can hit a few greens in regulation?…congrats, nice 4 putt.
