Having dealt with a true psychopath, I have to say this video misses a great deal. Some of it appears to be nonsense. It also seems to be oriented around one small study of a small number of psychopaths and focuses on a strange set of behaviors. If you think you are associated and affected by a psychopath, it would be much better to review one of the standard tests, which are easily available online. Most of the mentioned behaviors are things that many people do. If you are really concerned, answer these questions: 1. Can the person turn on charm like a switch? 2. Do they do what they want, without taking into account the affect on other people, or long term consequences? 3. Do they seem unable to take any responsibility for things they do that cause harm? 4. Do they seem to believe that it's every person for themselves, anything they do to get ahead is justified? 5. Do they lie easily? 6. Do they seem never to feel remorse? These are some of the true indicators. If you meet one of these people, God help you.

I may have met one online. She never affected me personally, but she hurt a lit of people on purpose and caused a lit of pain for my friend. I had to stand up for her and eventually hot her ass banned by sending the mods proof of her horrible behavior. Then when the bully talked to my friend, she told her she hurts people as an "experiment'. I've been scared of this person since. She doesn't own up to her actions for hurting these people at all and blamed me and got mad at me for banning her on a website. I don't talk to her anymore. I feel like she has a lot of issues she needs to address in her life.
@toolguy6534
@toolguy6534 2 роки тому
@@alyssafulp2716 Classic psychopath. It's funny. I had to go through the worst period of my life in order to understand how to recognize one, but after all that, it is really simple. Psychopaths have very weakened empathy. Scientists have demonstrated that a physical part of the brain is undeveloped. They are not sure if that part of the brain shrunk from disuse, or if the lack of empathy was caused by damage to that part of the brain. We sit around trying to understand why they hurt and manipulate people, but it is easier if you realize that they are UNABLE to care or empathize with another person's feelings, so they just do whatever they want for entertainment, or go get material goods, sex, power, whatever. To us it makes no sense, because we would need an overriding reason to hurt someone's feelings. They do not need this.

That's because they are both part of the cluster B personality. Also, every psychopath is a narcissist, but not every narcissist is a psychopath. It's a spectrum from low to high tendencies. And then there is also a difference between impulsive and strategy. Lastly, even intelligence plays a role, especially when it comes to self-awareness.
@toolguy6534

@@dinasultan8576 Psychopath does not have a stronger nervous system. The psychopath has a part of the brain that doesn't work, the part that empathizes and cares about others. Brain scans have shown this. They don't have to be strong to do what they do, they just don't have the ability or desire to care about others. The do what they want, take what they want, and have no probley screwing with and destroying other people.

I really think you (like millions of other people) confused psychopath with narcissists. Although there are some superficial overlaps, your videos perfectly describes a narcissist. But because of fearless dominance and manipulation it's easier for them to accept the power people give them, instead of refusing the power.

@CriminalScrutinyTV
@CriminalScrutinyTV 2 роки тому
This video just confirmed I’m 2000% a psychopath, I do almost every single thing mentioned in this video. To explain it to everyone else in my case I grew up around severe psychological trauma growing up, I was always at fear as a kid so I think it trained me to assess when trouble is coming so it made me incredibly good at reading people. The desensitization in my opinion comes from constant trauma at a young age, when I got to my 20s it got really bad. I also was deceived by people around me who were close, it gave me this attitude where I generalized everybody for being that way because of those experiences I had. So my teen years were when those negative experienced piled up and my 20s is where it solidified my character as a remorseless person, it took going to jail for a little while to wake me up. I began looking at myself in disgust and actually wanting to change who I was, till this day I can’t change the need for stimulation. It’s been toned down 100x but I still feel it in my brain the lack of excitement, I’m pretty sure because of the psychological trauma I faced all my life shut down certain parts of my brain. Sort of like a cop or a person in the military, if you have empathy in those careers you’re going to drive yourself nuts. There comes a time where you need to turn that part of your brain off, if you don’t it’s impossible to continue your job. Same thing goes for psychopathic criminals, if you feel at a deep level you’re going to break yourself down not only that but it’s a weakness people pick up on and you’ll get harmed because of having that weakness. On the other hand I have a deep love for animals, if I hear about an animal getting hit by a car it’ll put me to tears. If I hear about a human getting hit by a car I’d say I would react with 50% less empathy, it’s a really weird thing you can’t control it you’re just born with the rotten genetics.

It sounds like living in a competitive or dangerous environment can make you mimic signs of psychopathy until, outwardly, you are indifferentiable from a psychopath yourself. This is why diagnoses are to be made only in a clinical environment. It becomes nearly impossible, if not impossible at all, to differentiate a true psychopath from someone whose is mimicking the psychopathy around them merely to survive, especially in children and those who have grown up around such behavior.
@adamglory606
@adamglory606 2 роки тому
Exactly! I was getting that feeling from this video too that their really are psychopaths that influence ordinary people to act like this. Some people are raised by psychopaths or are enamored by them. Either way their kind of way of being has seeped into society that has the ability to think for themselves and not act like them. Yet they choose to adopt or cope to that dominating influence. I think their are indeed a lot of psychopaths and the other list of personality disorders found in politicians for example. That is one avenue psychopathic ways are introduced to people. Or famous musicians.

@@jeremydoerksen5988 May not be precise enough, but it shows enough. Besides, give it 50 years, it'll probably just be a quick flash test, not something involving a clunky machine, Either way, it's imperative to root out and track these individuals where they go, and they need to be found out from a young age. Which won't be hard, because psychopathic children are easy as pie to spot if you know what to look for (which is the obvious). So when there's some kind of chaos, abuse, fraud, rampages, taking advantage, crimes, ringleading, or flare ups (and they WILL happen wherever these people go) in the area they are pinpointed in, then we know where to look. These people gotta go somewhere. In fact, I hope our tech gets strong enough to where we can check for the onset or formation of psychopathy even in the womb, like you would for babies born without a brain stem, severe down syndrome, or a baby who will be born with no face and limbs. Do what you gotta do, but humanity would be lots better off without these people. Sure, neurotypicals can be horrible too, but these psycho freaks are a whole other breed. I don't care how much they want to put on a halo and pretend to be just like everyone else, and how "good" and special and different from "all the other fictional psychopaths people have been fooled with and brainwashed with stereotypes from TV." Everything that comes out of a psychopath's mouth is a lie, or a spin on a lie and manipulation. We can't help the ones slithering on the earth now. All we can do is know who they are and avoid them. Spot one, even think you've run into one, even a "high functioning" one with a good mask, gtfo and warn others if you can. But we can at least prevent many more from being brought in, or at least catch them early and try for ...."treatment." No cure for them though. So woe to the parents unlucky enough to birth these void beasts who are only a few steps away from being a loveless, cold, conniving, mean-no-soul, lizard-brained potato. Capable of screwing good people's whole worlds up without a second thought, and only be concerned about what cravings for pizza toppings they have at that moment after the fact, and how they can con a dying, sick person while they're at it. Those parents of these freaks have my deepest sympathies, and humanity knows who these "people" are, so what is it going to do about them? I hope something soon.

Psychopath which comes from the greek two words meaning Psicho-passion, cannot differentiate his emotional feelings according to his actions. For example he may kill or he may harm someone physically or verbally without feeling guilt for what he/she have done or continue to do. The psychical emotion handling for a psychopath compare to a normal person are way different, that's why we name someone a psychopath.

One of the problems with videos like this is the explanation of a disorder by listing symptoms. This is why it seems like so many people match these symptoms. It is most commonly done with psychological disorders because it would be so obvious if done with physical illnesses... Consider explaining what having tuberculous would be like by just using a list of symptoms without underlying understanding being provided. Symptom number one: they tend to cough, number two: sometimes they sneeze, number three: they have trouble breathing.... Could apply to just about anyone with any respiratory issue at any time... The underlying issue here would be things like "Can they feel empathy?" --- great fundamental understanding. If you have an active sense of empathy then you probably aren't a psychopath even if you happen to say "To be honest with you" sometimes... The infotainment is still entertaining though :) Keep up the good work topthink.

So here is a story I have where I think I ran into some kind of predator. To preface this I had health issues at the time but I am totally normal now so no need to feel sorry for me in the description below. This account is strictly just about this encounter: I was having some issues causing Edema in my feet so it was hard to walk, went to the emergency room to make sure it wasn't the heart. It wasn't, it was something else. But that isn't relevant. While I was there there was a large crash with I think one person who died (I am not apart of this). And a lot of people got injured so they were there with me. I am in the waiting room, and this man walks in and sits 10 feet away from me and I did notice him but it's that type of notice where you are making a note here was there. For the next 25 or 30 minutes he proceeded to just stare at me most of the time. I would check by looking at him occasionally and yeah pretty much every time. At one point a nurse walked in and asked if he needed help and he said he was just waiting for someone. She left and then returned to staring at me. Obviously I already know what is going on as I am not an idiot. Finally I am called to come up to the desk or something. And after done talking I go to walk into another room and he finally decides to come up to me and talk. He presented himself as a personal trainer/gym trainer (he didn't look fit, just skinny, but who knows maybe he can run 20 miles). And started trying to bullshit me telling me what exercises can help me get better without even knowing what was wrong with me as it wasn't caused by anything physical. I think he was sizing me up to see if I was gullible and stupid enough to believe him. I was an easy target I think in his mind as I had to use crutches to even get around and had wrapped my legs to keep fluid more up. So if he found out I am gullible, great an easy victim! Anyway he kept trying to get to know me more. I don't know if he was going to offer to be my physical trainer or try to get me to come to his car I don't know. I am not sure if he realized I already knew what he was trying to do considering the million red flags he has presented to me thus far. So my dad shows up thankfully while this guy was talking to me, and he switches to talking to him like we were friends or something. I just shook my head no when the guy was looking away, for my dad to see. I told him to come with me to their bathroom where I explained what was happening or at least what I thought was happening. I wasn't really scared because I had caught onto his act early. Pretty sure he is one of the stupid psychopaths. Also he isn't going to attack me in this hospital. So, we went back out into the lobby a few minutes later and he was gone. Just gone. It was so surreal like I can't believe this guy was eyeing me to kidnap me or something. It's shit you see and hear on Tv. Thankfully dad had his truck right outside the sliding doors so we just took off without me going to see a doctor. And I did call the police to tell them about the shady man. I have no clue if anything became of it. I just wanted it to be known so no one else walking out to their car in the parking lot would run into this guy. So yeah I wonder if he caught on that I saw through the act immediately and decided to bail, or if it was only my Dad he was afraid of. (he's a big guy, lifts weights)

You likely have the ENFJ neuro-psychology. And as a neuro-psychological "add-on", you undoubtedly have 'psychopathy'. You have high charisma and social navigation skills, but like all 'truth-psychopaths' you 'naturally' experience humans as 'objects'. You can't emotionally-identify the difference between human and an object. At best, your heightened capacity for cognitive-empathy temporarily aids you appearing to experience more 'humanity' than you actually do. You are a lone soul; loving in a world of androids. Your logic-heavy intelligence is what allows for you to exist and it is your window into the human experience. It is what keeps you human than wild, feral, and brutal beast... Which ironically makes you more human than most. "Power" is something that should be limited in the hands of a psychopath. However, narcissits/NPD are so much worst than psychopaths. Psychopaths are tragic, emotionally-broken humans (even if they do not realise; hence the consistent "emptiness" they experience and suffer through inside, often without fully realizing it, let alone the extent of that suffering - they seem to subconsciously ignore it). Narcissists are extremely insecure (hypersensitive), parasitic, and evil-friendly little children. They have a lot in common with codependents, hence the natural attraction.

This is completely wrong. Psychopaths aren't necessarily disgusting people. They just lack empathy and its not even their fault. They were either born that way or, due to a VERY, VERY abusive or painful childhood, their brains turn them into one to protect. People need to stop making them out as evil just because they can't feel certain things. A person isn't evil because of what they feel or think, but because of what they do. Your closest friend could be a psychopath but with the right guidance, she could understand right from wrong on a more empathetic level and choose not to hurt other people. Remember, psychopathy isn't a personality type, it is a MENTAL ILLNESS.

You can't just find out someone is psychopath by some questions it's something else that you don't understand it is a feeling of emptiness which increases day by day. It's the feeling of understanding this world more and more until that day when u find out all ur friends don't like u they just pretend. It's like showing mirror to the people of this world.

If I had to guess I'd say deep down your Dad is really insecure. He's projecting his insecurity onto you because he doesn't know how to deal with it himself. He probably doesn't believe the horrible things he says about you but instead believes them about himself. When you say, "I FEEL LIKE HE CALLS ME LIKE THAT BECAUSE HE IS ONE", you're probably right. I'm really sorry you have to go through this but just remember he doesn't mean the bad things he says about you, which is still no excuse. He doesn't know any other way to deal with his own problems.

it seems those with serious empathy problems/anti-social problems do not experience anxiety and stress the way the average person does- in that they do not experience it much at all. To the point that they do not experience fight or flight the same way. This would definitely be more of a nature vs. nurture.

I feel like I have two sides inside of me that fight on a daily basis, One tells me to remember that karma exists and to treat others nicely also to have faith. The other side makes me have the most worst thoughts you could possibly imagine and want to take action on my delusional thoughts, honestly I don’t know what I suffer with but I know I’m suffering with something if that makes sense. Some days I want to be an Antichrist and some days I want to be a saint And I have this consistent battle in my mind everyday. But I’m noticing because I’ve not been communicating with people properly for the past 5 years my personality has started to change also my appearance; I like dark things, my speech pattern and vocabulary has dramatically decreased and I stutter when I talk due to an overload of thoughts and lack of confidence hitting me every second at light speed… I could go on for hours and hours this isn’t even half of my problems, I know I’m messed up but what’s worse is the fact I don’t know what’s bothering me or if I even know myself anymore.

Although some may claim it impossible to know what pure evil is, I can safely say I've met it face to face. His name was Eric Vandenberg. He was my 10th grade bully. He would often call me a "retard" just to shame me for my Autism, in spite of the fact I could act like a normal person well and true. From this, he appointed himself as the ringleader of those who believed in his slanders and lies about my mental disability, and were egged by him to make my life miserable as well. Things got worse when he used my Autism as a scapegoat, and would blame his misbehavior on my Autism, accusing me of wrongdoing as if I couldn't remember. Worse still, he and the rest of his posse would gaslight me by saying my Autism was making me hallucinate and misremember their abuse, claiming that I was seeing things that never happened, or misremember small details that were never there. Even when they sexually harassed me, they claimed it never happened, as they would often tell the adults, "He doesn't know what he's talking about, he's just a retard." From this, Eric and his fellow ring of bullies would claim that my Autism was making me misjudge right from wrong, that I was morally insane. Whenever I did something socially acceptable, like kissing a girl on the hand after a dance, they would punish me for it, saying what I did was unacceptable. The same could be said whenever I did something acceptable, as they would commend me for it. He exploited me being self conscious of my mental illness, and did everything within his power to make my life miserable. My moral compass was broken, I could no longer distinguish right from wrong, and I was afraid that I was going completely insane. The adults were neglectful as well, as they avoided taking full responsibility to handle the situation directly whenever I asked them for help, and instead, left me to handle it myself, even though I lacked the resources, let alone the manpower to do so, as we were living in a boarding school, I could only avoid them for so long. Even so, I tried to befriend Eric whenever he seemed lonely, but the more I tried to befriend him, the more he hated me for it, and would punish me. I knew he had problems, but whenever I asked him what his problem was, he always said it was me. I was very suicidal that year, as no one was willing to help me, even when I was unable to help myself of a situation I was cornered in. I didn't want to kill myself because I lost the will to live, but because I was afraid of becoming a monster. I would rather die than become a psychopath. I was traumatized that year, and it took a lot of effort for me to recover. It wasn't until years later until a former colleague apologized to me for not being there for me, that he revealed something I hadn't known. The entire time, Eric too had Autism. It was then I realized, Eric was willing to manipulate my self consciousness, and my lack of knowledge of my own Autism, to drive me insane to the point of suicide just to defend his pride, just to hide something about himself he didn't want anyone else to know. To this day, I cannot comprehend how anyone as young as we were, 15 years of age, could be capable of doing something so evil. Some may say this is a case of insecurity. But I say, it's the face of pure evil. To this day, I still suffer PTSD, as I lash out at those who criticize me for being a snowflake, a manchild, oversensitive and a psychopath. Am I a psychopath?

Plot twist: this describes a sociopath/narcissist. Psychopaths don't have strong emotions, it's rather muted. Neutral. Emotional landslides is more relative to sociopath and narcissism. Psychopaths are common than you think. Mostly found on top tier positions. They can be some of the chilliest individuals. Due to lack of fear and confidence, they are very charming to be around. Just like Autism, psychopathy runs along a spectrum. At the end, still human like the rest of us.
