Remote trick: maybe try to use CMS led instead, wire them INSIDE the remote controller, so the light can go through the buttons or just nearby if the rubber isn't transparent enough. Less fragile.

Question: why don't you look at 3-axis machines DYI? You'll have everything you need, including where to put belts, stepper motors and what you should put as controller... Then you can control it with Gcode. You simply need to size up things so it can fit your purpose... The "major" problem is more probably that you need a 4th axis in order to allow the camera to turn (simply imagine the camera targetting the same exact point while making a spiral around the center of the sliders to see why this 4th axis is required).

What was being done in the tip where he put a small ball in the heat shrink tubing, then wound solder (?) around the pen, then heat shrunk the wire and solder into the same place as the ball? Thanks!

Insulating the wire, making it waterproof. The heat-shrinkable sleeve (if properly sized) will be waterproof on one side, but NOT on the tip - that's why there is a ball there. The soldering part is probably to have the best possible fit inside the sleeve, while protecting the wire from corrosion and being cut too easily - soldered part becomes hard. Not sure WHEN this trick can be used, however... Maybe for waiting wires outside, or in a humid environment? Usually, we simply cut wires, switch off the circuit breaker connected to them, and put some insulating tape on the tip of wires to avoid corrosion. But if you KNOW you won't have time to wire them properly until next year, it MAY be a good solution.

Buongiorno Signor Daniele, mi può consigliare una colla che resiste alle basse temperature, devo chiudere un buco(piccolo, però si è forata la serpentina) che ho fatto nel freezer e parlando con il tecnico lui mi ha consigliato l'acciaio liquido, ma se ci fosse qualcos'altro sarebbe meglio.... io posso anche mettere una piccola placchetta di allumino, dopo aver tappo il buco con ciò che mi hanno consigliato, però per essere più sicuri che il lavoro tenga desidero inserire questa placchetta di alluminio sul fondo del freezer, però bisogna che la colla resista alle basse temperature e incollando alla plastica del freezer...... Se mi può consigliare qualcosa le sarei molto grato..... Saluti

Adesso mi é chiaro, la pallina serve a chiudere ermeticamente un lato della guaina! Qualche dubbio però ce l'ho sulla tenuta stagna mettendo i due cavi 'paralleli' invece che 'frontali', dove l'aderenza é totale essendo le sezioni di guaina e cavo esattamente concentriche

Hai ragione, @@enricodep, nell'aver dubbi sulla tenuta stagna del connettore dei cavi "paralleli". a quello potresti migliorare la condizione di impermeabilità siringando un po' di mastice al silicone nella parte opposta alla pallina, prima di operare la termorestrizione. Ma anche il connettore realizzato industrialmente per connettere cavi "frontalmente", non è il caso che tu lo piazzi sott'acqua in modo definitivo. I cavi elettrici destinati all'utilizzo PERMANENTE sott'acqua hanno delle caratteristiche costruttive molto raffinate e, soprattutto, devono essere TUTTI D'UN PEZZO. Per utilizzi che prevedono l'immersione di giunti elettrici SOLTANTO OCCASIONALMENTE E PER BREVI PERIODI, A BASSE PROFONDITÀ, invece, si usano tecniche di giunzione come quella che ti linko: ukposts.info/have/v-deo/o6Ofen6LfamUpGg.html
