Sooo amazing! She's the queen this year. I love Mishin's non-reaction to the scores. No face, just a handshake... Business as usual lol :D

Elizaveta is making a history in figure skating. I think she can beat all world records and become a legend like Evgeni Plushenko. Mr. Mishin is a genius.

she'll make history as the most inflated skater. no grace no elegance just all for the jumps and overrated. maybe shell go down in history as second most overrated.

Mishin is horrible. Plushenko was so overrated. His programs contained no transitions, and they were just cheesy. Beyond cheesy. Elizaveta is such a sloppy skater. I do not understand how she is scored so high.

Elizavetta's triple axel was good, but the second 3T in the 3T / 3T combo is ur because of the significant hook in the ice and the spray in the slow motion replay at 5:04 and the landing on the first is a bit wobbly and slightly more than 1/4 turn short in rotation.

Technical elements so high equal kim yuna James Bond 2010 Olympics !!! Incredible skater and new superstar in figure skatings Jumps is high qualitie in generation (not count 3A she nearly kim yuna ) But dress,artistry ,body movement unimpressive Perfect Program since danse macabre, James Bond for yuna kim 2009-2010 and I love this program for Elizaveta after love kim yuna

Kim yuna SP (personal best for her ) TES 44.70 vs Eliza 44.09 = 0.61 point behind yuna PCS kim 33.80 vs Eliza 33.53 = 0.27 point behind yuna Wow Eliza she is new superstar in new generation ( after last generation is Kim yuna ,mao asada,Carolina Kostner,miki ando )

But Yuna had 5.40 points with SpSq4 => Yuna TES 44.70 - 5.40 = 39, 3 (4.79 points behind Elizaveta).

tuyie rang Most short programs are like that under the current system. They took out the spiral sequence and there isn't enough time to do much artistry when every step has to be done in a certain way to gain points. In my opinion, her superior jumping technique makes up for any lack of artistry.
@markelsierruski

***** Before saying that Liza is a better jumper, please read this. First of all, I do think Liza is a very good skater and I think she deserved to win Worlds. But, in reference to Liza having a better triple axel at Worlds , even the ISU judges gave Mao's triple axel in her 2014 Nocturne AND the LP program at Worlds a higher GOE than Liza's single triple axel at Worlds. Mao's SP triple axel was given +1.8 and her LP +1.6 by judges (none of which were from Japan or even Asia) indicating excellent jumps. To my eyes, Mao's triple axels at Worlds were actually higher because of Mao's greater height and speed and with more distance, though there are some other jumps (not all) that Mao does that are not as high as Liza's but Mao's jumps have greater relative distance. The downgrade on the triple axel in Mao's Worlds LP was bogus because Mao's score had to be held down "normalized" in order to make her deflated Sochi LP score appear legitimate. How else explain a downgrade on a jump with an excellent GOE of +1.6? The tech crew also downgraded her triple flip and loop combo which had a very good GOE of +1.3, causing her to lose 7 points in bogus downgrades. The judges should have at least tried to get their story straight with the tech crew to "fix" the scores right. But, if people don't believe that Mao's scores have a history of scores being held down, then all we have to do is listen to some quotes from RUSSIAN figure skaters themselves. First, Maxim Trankov, the Russian pairs champions said live on Russian TV with Adelina and Yulia yet to skate that Mao "would have been Olympic champion (but for her short program)" and "It is the performance that only an Olympic champion can do." So why did it finish in 3rd place and lose by almost 8 points? After the Vancouver SP. here is what Russian skaters said: Evgeni Plushenko: "Asada's level is the best in human history. I cannot win, if I was a woman. DId Kim jump 4 rotations twice? Maria Butyrskaya:"Judges should have evaluated Mao's SP correctly. I cannot understand this much difference." Russian TV:"It seems to be useless to expect the judges. It is as if it were all pre-determined. Mao was the best. Kim's more than five points of advantage is terrible. Very terrible." The fact that Mao was placed behind Yuna Kim again in the Sochi LP with 2 more triples shows that the precedent from Vancouver was also continued. The top skaters also had their urs ignored and Mao's urs were highly suspicious and likely bogus at Sochi as well. How psychologically devastating must it be to know your scores will be held down and that people will use the corrupt deflation in scores against you to continue to justify low scores in future competitions? I agree Mao is better at artistry with more complex choreography, as well as speed and skating skills, so she should get the highest PCS when she returns. But, I think Mao should also get higher overall GOE on her jumps based on the stated guidelines for GOE on jumps. I am no expert but these are just my personal observations. 1) unexpected / creative / difficult entry From what I have seen, Mao doesn't telegraph her jumps by doing full rotational movements with her body and arms prior to the jumps like I have seen Liza do to win, but Liza definitely has good jumps. Mao also does more one legged skating, forward instead of back crossovers, and transitions before and after her jumps. She also has remarkably erect posture throughout, nice extension and dramatic balletic flair like motions which I refer to as "framing" or "staging" the jump. In my view, Mao doesn't telegraph but "stages" her triple axel, using the diagonal width of the rink as a long runway, as she glides smoothly but rapidly while making subtle but highly dramatic balletic extensions that give the entry a suspenseful flair, then launches into take-off close to the boards facing the audience. 2) clear recognizable steps/free skating movements immediately preceding element Mao does a brief wind mill motion with her arms before the jumps which is a quick set up with free skating motions that maintain speed all the way into the entrance of the jump. 3) varied position in the air / delay in rotation Mao is the only skater I know of currently that has the dynamic of delayed rotation. It is especially noticeable in her triple axel which begins slowly but then transforms into quick whipsaw rotation. Her air position is a beautiful tight symmetrical spiral which I think enables her to accelerate her spiral. 4) good height and distance Mao's jumps have good height as posters have mentioned in measurements based on video frames before especially her double and triple axel and triple salchow, which are exceptional. However, much of the power in her jumps is converted into greater distance. I have noticed that skaters that get very good to excellent GOE like Adelina and Liza have very good height but there distance is not that far. Maintaining erect posture with less telegraphing and symmetrical height and distance makes it more difficult to get great height but greatly enhances the beauty of the jumps and from what I read in these guidelines is supposed to be reflected in GOE. 5) good extension on landing / creative exit Mao's posture, body extension due to her extensive ballet training, and intricate transitions on exit are much more prevalent than the current skaters she is competing against. 6) good flow from entry to exit including jump combinations / sequences Mao's great balletic flow through her jumps results from the great speed she has leading into and out of her jumps and the outstanding control she has over her posture and body motion. In addition to the speed of entry, the symmetrical flow is indicated by the balance between height and distance of the jumps, the fluidity in transitions as in her triple flip and loop where the entire sequence looks like a single motion, and how well she maintains speed through her jumps while quickly transitioning back into steps. This is what gives her Sochi LP its incredible sense of forward propulsion. 7) effortless throughout This was discussed above. 8) element matched to the musical structure Mao's 3F / 2 Lo / 2Lo combo in Sochi and in Worlds 2013 Lps for instance were praised for how well they were synchronized with the rhythm of the music. Yet, they didn't even get a +1 GOE. Mao's SOchi LP crescendoed in tempo to the music reaching a climatic release and this musicality us supposed to be worth twice as much as height worth twice. This is the definition of matching an element to the musical structure and SUPPOSED to be worth twice as much as the height of a jump. since this is only one point in number 4. The balletic flair of arm motions and rhythmic body motions into and out of the jumps are unmatched, yet again not even one jump got +1 GOE in her Sochi LP, for example.

+markelsierruski Everyone pre-rotates their jumps. I guess you know more than Russian Olympic champions, Evgeni Pluskenko and Maxim Trankov with their comments that I cited above.

Yes, she copied Carolina's choreography in that part and she did it with no feeling at all. Anyway let's see her in the future if she improves because I don't really like her a lot either. Caro's bolero was better by far. Liza has no artistry at all. After Yuna and Carolina, nobody else...
