it's so odd seeing the bronco team have a bot get flipped like this. they were quite notorious for flipping bots during the comedy central era. they were given a taste of their own medicine.

That was amazing. I woder how Hydra uses hydraulics to power its flipper but still can flip with such power and speed. Hydraulic presses and machines are usually slow!

Hydra won because Bronco’s only device for getting under other bots is it’s flipping arm, whereas Hydra scrapes the ground on all sides except the back, and it’s front is thoroughly covered along the bottom with the razor-sharp wedgelets. This makes it easy for Hydra to get under Bronco on the sides, or really anywhere except for the exact front of the flipper. Bronco, on the other hand, would have had to at least get to the side, maybe even to the back, to get a single flip. Hydra didn’t have to drive NEARLY as well to win this match as Bronco. It’s just wholly designed better.

This is like seeing the old veteran being defeated by the new modern one.

Bronco, the King of Flipper bots was officially dethroned. Hydra is better armed, flatter, and lower to the ground but suffers from getting caught on the floor. Bronco always got the exposed wheels clipped but had a rear wedge that could help as a ram.

bronco's driver seems like some 10yo drooling kid who just bashes buttons randomly ... just WAIT FOR THE SHOT, stop bashing buttons. it's so painful to watch. also as soon as he flips upside down, he starts bashing buttons senselessly .. WAIT until hydra is coming for it, THEN flip. other time he just bashes the flip like 3 times in row .. before the bot is even landed. this is so horrible .. i'm glad Hydra won.
