Because this race was so boring, there was a lot of time to think. This is Perez in the Mclaren. High rated new talent goes to a big team, sucks, banished to mid-field. Seems Red Bull has a problem with pushing young drivers and then losing interest. To be fair, Kyvat lost that seat on his own, but something is wrong with Gasley's mentality. He has to be a better driver than this to even get a shot at that seat. All the current top drivers showed up at a big boy team and performed on day 1. Lewis, Max, Seb all showed up and crushed it. Leclerc is holding it together, hence Lewis and company rate him well. But Gasely is totally pulling a Perez here. I feel bad for the guy, but look at Lando and Albon this year, showing up and crushing. I guess my point is, give Alex that seat sooner rather than later. Gasley isn't bringing in the points anyway. Forget about Ocon, great guy, but Lando is showing up, give him the merc seat in a year or two.

I heard that the reason why he did so shit is because Redbull changed his settings before the race even started. Even though he didn't want his settings changed. Hence why he barely made it to Q3 in qualifying.

The probleme is his setup, he was running his own setup in the practice 1 and 2, and after that the team decided to change it, after that he was much slower (just look at the time in practice and time in qualify and how he is driving, there is a huge difference, just wp redbull as always

I'm really not that surpised tbh. The first one, meh. I can see him not getting a penalty for that. The second time, however... that was just stupid. Easily understood the penalty for that. "But it's racing!" Then he should've gone left.

They could have contended with just one 5s penalty, but there is nothing wrong in a 10s penalty, it's just harsh, the first one was arguable but, then he did force Norris to leave the track. Second one was clear as day, exceeded track limits to overtake Kimi, by going wide to his right, clear penalty, people can say that it would not have happened had there been grass, or whatever, but this doesn't change the fact that he chose an alternative racing line out of nowhere to overtake Kimi

When Max did it and got penalized hardly anyone complained, now that other drivers get penalized as it’s becoming boring people argue. Hypocritical much? F1 has always had unfair racing due to different cars, as long as it benefits enough of the demographic and there’s at least some competition nobody complains.

I think Ricciardo deserved his penalties in this race, and I think Vettel deserved his penalty in Canada. Not every race can be tight and wheel to wheel all the time and the rules have to be enforced. Those are the realities of racing that far too many people online don't understand
