I thought that was odd, but then I opened the card and it said “Congrats! You’re going to the Masters!” needless to say I was shocked. My brother had passed away only a few months earlier, so getting to do this with my dad was very special. It was an unbelievable experience. I might have sprinkled some of my brother Max’s ashes around the course (Amen Corner and behind 18). I remember talking to my dad about it and saying “Everything changed at Amen Corner. 2:40:14 - The reason why Jack Nicklaus won so much was that he made the most pars when they were needed. The putt on hole 9 is, in my opinion, one of Tiger's greatest shots. Yes, experience is why he is champion, I remember when he said about what Jack Nicklaus told him about that hole in particular. Also knowing how the greens will go, where to place their ball on the right side of the green, a lot of that is experience. This was probably some of the other player's downfall.

That guy has never had an ego! I have seen some, after shooting 2/3 birdies feel like they have won a tournament. Only ending up losing the tournament
@TheLocalLt5 місяців тому
Yep you can go all the way back to 1997 and see how Tiger played the hole the exact same way. Even with a 10 shot lead he still didn’t go at the back right pin on Sunday, playing well left and two-putting from 60 feet

This was probably the greatest back 9 in masters history to watch as a fan in person and on TV. This is why Tiger Woods has so much physical and mental toughness in him because of the things that he has gone through and has accomplished throughout his career.
