yes on the old grass which they slowed down in 2002. And the fast court at us open which they slowed down towards end of 2000;s. Federer would almost be unstoppable. I think prime djokovic is maybe the only one that could beat him.
@kwl189Рік тому
@@derrickc1353 not even prime Djokovic could stop him. By the time Djokovic started doing well on grass, Wimbledon courts were as slow as the clay at Roland Garros. Now it's a disgrace to old eras of fast grass courts. Federer is untouchable on even reasonably fast courts. Only age and slow courts were able to beat him. The slower courts brought extended baseline rallies. Fed grew up in a serve and volley era.
@derrickc1353Рік тому
@@kwl189 I don't know. Djokovic never really played on grass when the courts were fast. Okay let's say slight edge to Federer at wimbledon. I do think with djokovic movement and speed that he would be ok on the old grass. What about australian open on the old green courts and Us open old courts. It would be close between those 2 very hard to tell. I do think Djokovic 15 is the only one who could stay with Federer under the old courts when they played quicker. Djokovic has an all-court game like Federer too. So hard to say. I give slight edge to Djokovic overall because he has a winning record against Nadal head to head and that includes clay court matches.

@cloudhigh6582Рік тому
It's such a shame that he blew it in the 2nd and 4th set against Del Potro in the 2009 US Open. He was 3-1 up in the 2nd set and he was 15/30 on Del Potro's serve at 4-5 and was 2 points away from is 16th Grand Slam and becoming the first man to win six consecutive US Open titles in the Open Era. He was also 2 points away from becoming the first man to win the Surface Slam and the first player to win the French Open, Wimbledon and US Open in the same calendar year since Rod Laver in 1969. He was all conquering but unfortunately since those moments a mental weakness developed and he struggled to win any further Grand Slams. He also never won a US open again. Will never forget that Wimbledon semi-final in 03. If my memory serves me correct, it was Rodrick who was probably expected to break through that year in what was a very open semi-final draw and a guaranteed first time slam winner. So to watch Federer win in straight sets with a brand of tennis I’d never seen before-I took notice. Then a couple of days later when he won the Championship combined with that emotional speech-I was hooked.

The Big three each have their own area of greatness: - Roger is the most dominant. He has bageled the other two more (he has more bagels in general) and his wins are usually more comfortable with less games lost. -Rafa is the King of comebacks. He usually plays even better after losing and being cornered, fights after every point and has turned as round a match from being match point and set down and also a set from being 5-1 40-0 down. -Nole is the most clutch. He's overall a robot i.e having the most flat, baseline-grinding playstyle, mostly forcing opponents to mistakes or mishits but he plays consistently and he wins the important points. He can be worse than his opponent during an entire match, then win one crucial break point and a tie break and steal the win. His mental toughness is also unparalleled.
