Not really, Katrina was only given 2 years probation until she violated the agreement by being in touch with that POS she worshipped. Thankfully a new prosecutor took over and gave her 18 years for the violation. The original DA didn't need to plea deal and did, he was gutless. They only serve a portion of the time given. Hopefully the POS will serve his full 42 by getting into trouble in prison which I can imagine him doing.

Drugs destroy the people using and family. I have seen the destruction and trauma that comes with drug abuse. Crime always follows, theft of property and violence against not only unsuspecting victims but families too. I am fortunate enough that my family has never been effected. I could imagine the consequences should I have ever experienced the disappointment of finding out my children were involved with drugs. Maybe the results would be the same.

I attended an FBI sponsored lecture about personal safety, community action, etc. The senior agent leading the meeting said something, that even over a decade later, I still think about. He said, "By the time most people realize they're in serious danger, and that they need to 'act', it's already too late." It was in the conversation about how some criminals will often try to move a victim (usually women) from one location to another. Ex. Pulls a weapon and says, "Go down this alley" or "get in your car". Apparently, the best course of action is just to immediately start screaming and fighting and making the most noise you can. Don't delay from shock or disbelief.

In the Shannon case, I find it heroic and very amazing that despite no longer in a relationship with her, John - the ex fiancee who was initially being looked at because he has a criminal record-was the one to break open the case. Everyone got what they deserved. Arturo should just been sentenced to death. A life for a life. 42 years? He shouldn’t be allowed to share the same space with anyone. It’s just so tragic and senseless and disgusting that I hope her story brings more awareness to domestic abuse. Way to go John!!
@lynnfaulkner2706
@lynnfaulkner2706 3 місяці тому
I agree. John sounds like a standup guy who truly cared about Shannon. How a woman like Shannon could ever have been attracted to a low-life like Arturo is beyond me. The police should be very grateful to John for helping solve this tragic murder.
@ppw2393
@ppw2393 3 місяці тому
I don't understand that gutless prosecutor making a plea deal. He had witnesses a body and a ton of evidence. Im grateful a new prosecutor came in otherwise that disgusting, desperate woman who was behind Shannon's murder would have only had probation. Fortunately that awful thing kept talking to the POS and was sentenced to 18 years. Shannon was gorgeous and was working on a future for herself. Thank God for John, the cops never would have uncovered a thing since he found all the evidence except for the freezer which that couple fortunately called the police about. My heart goes out to Shannon's family and John.

Katrina worked the company I work for, I remember one day in April 2017, she came into the office to turn in timesheets right before the office closed. She was telling me about the girls family harassing her bc Shannon left to Cleveland to be with someone other guy. I had to lock up and get to my kids school before they got out so I was kinda rushing her, but I did make a mental note bc I’d seen something on FB about a local girl missing. But I forgot all about it until she was arrested.
@tammyc766
@tammyc766 3 місяці тому
I believe the wife wanted to know why it’s a freezer with a lock on it in her house. I don’t think she was looking for hamburger meat in someone else’s padlocked freezer!! And what made her think it was any in there. But I definitely don’t blame her, I would have looked too. Because that’s definitely suspicious.
@halli620
@halli620 2 місяці тому
Right, breaking a lock for meat?? I mean unless the guy was like I have a ton of meat in here and let me know if you want some! Which maybe he did, to try not to sound suspicious, but I still can't personally see breaking the lock for it! Unless maybe he "left" them a key but of course not the right one? So she felt like whatever it's not working I'll just pick it? Who knows!

Years ago I worked for the fraud department of Master Cards for a particular bank that ordered the cards. We almost hand delivered all of the batches to various banks in Florida and Ga. We had a group of cards that never got out of town. I started visiting the apartment of a number of employees that worked in the mail room. Back then you had to attempt to locate items that were charged on the cards. They got nailed but when it came to them asking me to testify, I told them that as they knew I was raising two little boys on my own. Their scum father abandoned us. I would not testify because the characters that were charged probably could care less that I had two babies that depended on me. My employer wasn’t happy with me but, oh well. I left the bank and the town before they came up with the idea of a pushing me to testify. There was no amount of the banks money that could sway me to testify because of my boys. May Susan RIP as her mother will one day be back with her.

Re: Lacey Rutherford case- It was mentioned the family member who is held responsible, for the heinous acts, had Liver damage. I’d like to know what his Ammonia level was, the night this happened. The fact that he died 2 years later, causes me to feel he most likely had ENCEPHALOPATHY due to the poisons in his brain, & blood stream. I too have had bouts of encephalitis ( due to blood pressure meds I took for years, until the FDA took them off the market, for causing liver damage & cancer of the Liver ) .. So, I have seen videos of myself, which I asked my son to document….& I know that I DON’T recognize loved ones, & I have NO idea what month, or year I’m living in,or even how to answer my cell-phone! SO knowing His Ammonia level IS OF UTMOST IMPORTANCE TO THOSE CHOOSING TO PROSECUTE HIM…Sadly, it’s NOT likely they knew how much poison he had in his bloodstream….

@@deborahrocks7530 have you watched Forensic Files, one of the greatest shows on crime ever? They played music on certain scenes to give it some tension when necessary. It does help. I'm not talking about music throughout the broadcast, just in moments of revealing and to bring up tense moments.

The second story- his addict daughter and her friends terrorized him.... he should never had been charged with capital murder
@janinelemieux3099

First of he didn't get capitol murder. He got a plea deal life in prison. Second it was his daughter & her boyfriend he murdered there was no other friends that were terrorizing. Also, her father went to find her boyfriend, and he was in the bathroom shot him point blank. The father had his own drug addiction too. He had no remorse till his lawyers told him to take the plea deal. I don't where you find he got capitol murder.

My heart breaks for them, especially her small son who is now an orphan and old enough to understand what happened. What a nightmare. I can't imagine. 💔

Her shooting was unwarranted no matter what she had done. They coulda called the police on her and her friends for robbery if that's what he was upset about.

The verdict and Shannon’s case was not severe enough in my opinion. It should’ve been life in prison with no chance of parole.

Least Alfred got to suffer his final months & days alone in jail. The death sentence would have been an easier out for that monster so I guess with circumstances being that they was, suffering alone waiting to die was the best option at dome sort of justice. In the UK, we don't have guns, only illegal ones & although people do get shot over here, it's not as readily available. I'm just saying, not here to start an argument

Clearly his daughter was a drug addict, An unfortunate situation that involved an innocent child at the age of only six. You can hear no remorse Or empathy, From her mother who called in. Obviously there are something seriously wrong with this family, And unfortunately, children were involved and innocent children. Spending the night for sleep over are Scarred for life most likely. Hopefully the young boy will despise his family. That much for what they put him through that. He will do right in his life and not turn out like them. Or most likely won't know any better and have that much resentment and anger that he will be exactly like them and the pattern continues. We all done things in our life that were not always proud of. We're human we're not perfect. But that doesn't mean we have to force our actions on to our children and our sufferings from our mistakes for them to endure and carry on with them. They're innocent and didn't deserve it or ask for it. I only pray that the boy was raised and a good family and he seeks justice for himself, and them ability to move forward to live the life he so deserves, that his own family so selfishly robbed him of...
