WE'RE BACK! Weekly uploads until December then every 2 weeks! We've been filming a lot recently, it's been crazy being able to do this again. We've got lots of life updates coming along with some of the most epic adventures to date.
On this trip, Eric and Thomas head to a country in Eastern Europe that doesn't exist that calls itself Transnistria.. Considered dangerous to travel to by some familiar with the region.. They decided to travel there without any itinerary and see what they find.
This idea was submitted to us by Nick Bowlby in our Creative Internship program we hosted last year! We had 6 people from the Yes Fam pitch ideas for us every week for a few months and lots of great things came out of that, including this one. So shout-out to the Yes Fam and Nick for getting us out to this strange and unique “country”.

Except it's not amazing. About 150'000 Romanians live there. Putinistas force them to write Romanian with Cyrillic characters which are inappropriate because they don't have the correct sounds. If you insist on speaking Romanian, then they arrest you and they make a show trial, ywith you in a cage. You can search about the Ilașcu case. As a Romanian kid I was watching how he and his friends was kept in a cage in court by KGB people. It is ethnic cleansing of Romanians.

I tried entering Transnistria on December of 2022. I had my camera and a couple lenses - a 24-70 and a 70-200 (chonky boi). The big lens immediately caught the attention of the military at the border, they then asked me lots of questions about my visit and then just rejected my entry. I´m just a guy who loves traveling and doing street photography when doing so. I was so intrigued by the place and its history and was quite sad when I couldn´t enter. See, each country has amazing , heartwarming people and traditions thats why we should give and take just the best of ourselves into the world to make it a better place for all of us :) PS most russians will also invite you to their home and actually give you lots of amazing food, alcohol if you want to and a place to sleep for how long you want to. Same goes for arab and turkish people, they all sit togather and me as a german in the middle of them eating from 1 big plate was such a good feeling , like family, like home, but with "foreign" people. @Deep Melodic ProdZ as russian who lives in Russia, I can tell you that attitude of Russian people towards black people is strange. the strangest thing is that we dont really have a word for black people and the hard n word is somehow stayed for a word meaning black person but when we say that, we dont mean the same as American people there is not much racist component in it russians treat it as just a word. second thing is that black people often participate in anecdotes and shit like that. also because of our ussr mentality, a lot of people from older generation started not liking black people because of blm lootings and because ghettos are usually the most criminal places in USA cities, they just don’t have internet to see what are the reasons of it and etc. just want to say that if you are black in Russia, you will be feeling safe and calm, but sometimes people will point fingers at you because you are so different and say the hard n word but not meaning to somehow offend you. also you will get a lot of interest from younger generation and some of them will ask you for a photo or insta. (tbh when i myself first saw a black person, I behaved kinda same way because im not from Moscow and these things are rare af)

I went to Moldova and then went to Transnistria 14 years ago. People were so friendly in those parts. They are quite poor but have big hearts. Had nightmares with the border police entering both Moldova and Transnistria. Glad things have improved.

This is what "communism" is. Everyone lives like one family. This capitalism is a poison that kills good qualities in people, everything rolls into self-interest. Everything is bought and sold, even feelings and emotions. Equality? Whoever has more money has more rights...

It's so cool how the story of this video is driven so much by unexpected encounters with strangers. That's the beauty of human connections, together we can make incredible stories and experiences! Thanks for capturing this so well, and highlighting the godly principles of generosity and kindness.

he didnt do that. Those people did it, he only put a camera in their faces and then left without anything given back to these people. Just ignorance here and hypocrisy. I bet both u and this bozo give tips to waiters for good services as token of appriciation. But u dont do it here in the east do you? Instead u get awed at how giving we are and just take it. and when we visit u selfish bastards we are expected to comply to your rules. how about u do the same?

@@hisyamhasbi8257 Yes i did, all the way to the ad. And i see nothing that proves me wrong there. I only see him eating grandma's food that he will never bother to visit again. Even tho' she gave him probably all she had for the week/month . Now she will HAVE to rely on the kindness of the other. My point is, westerners are blind and oblivious as to why we are the way we are and in their ignorance they act like westerners still and just take everything is given to them and will not return the favor.
