Well read. I am a native English speaker, from Australia, looking for short stories while I do housework. It is an excellent way of learning English. I picked up whether it was British or American English it was pretty quickly. We generally use British terms, except when we have our own words, so I can pick up when there are different words to our English. It is a bit harder when it is zBritish English, because I sometimes don’t know when Americans have different words. However nothing in what I said should be read as one way or another as I am not saying how long it took me to work out. There was a particular word used that I only recently learnt with different words in British and American English.

Unfortunately I'm not a fast learning in languages and discovering your method is like a treasure, considering I understand only elementary web, you tube and emails!!!!!. Much appreciated episode 😍, I really liked it. This is one of my two favourite ways to absorb the language. In my humble opinion, reading and listening are the best strategy for learning a language.....if you can, then, rely on a voice like yours Luke with a clear and precise sound and accurate pronunciation, added to an expressive, interpreted and commented reading, your learning can only improve. Thanks a lot Teacher 🙏
