Many people think that men's shirts are only suitable for men. In fact, this is not true. Any needlewoman will always come up with something to do with her husband’s shirt. There are so many great ideas and interesting solutions.
From one shirt you can make a women's blouse, and there are a huge number of styles - with a collar, with ruffles, you can add lace. The sleeves also have different variations.
If you combine a shirt or take two, you get a dress or a sundress; pillowcases for sofa cushions also have a place. The shirt fabric is durable and has an attractive appearance. That is why the sewn things turn out quite decent.
Many girls like to throw a man's shirt over themselves and feel more confident and calm while their loved one is not at home. A men's shirt can be used in the kitchen and an apron will become a fashionable accessory there.
You need to put the shirt on yourself and figure out what to cut off and what to leave.
Here's what I did:
1) From the collar in front, diagonally cut a bib on both sides to the waist line, then along the side seam
2) I left the collar intact! I just cut off the fabric around it, leaving 2 cm. This is how it turned out, the apron will be held on the collar.
3) I placed small darts at chest level.
4) I cut off the lower part with the cuff from the sleeve, about 20 cm for the pocket. The rest was used for bias binding.
5) I applied the tape to the wrong side of the apron and stitched it. Then I turned it right side out and stitched it 1 cm wide from the edge.
6) The pocket on the apron is a very convenient detail. You can put matches, glasses, a phone there, and things that should always be at hand. In addition, the pocket is decorative.
7) I cut the lower part of the sleeve along the fastener so that the cuff remains intact. I folded the pocket on 3 sides, smoothed out the folds and stitched it to the apron.
8) For the ties, I cut out strips 7 cm wide.
Ready.
On the one hand, the apron looks like a classic model, but on the other hand, the result is an original thing that can become a tool of temptation and just another cute thing in a woman’s wardrobe.
