A World Dismantled | A Sci-Fi Short Story with 8K Art

"A World Dismantled" takes an opposing view to many Sci-Fi stories about Humans vs. Aliens. I considered giving it the title "Humans, F*** No" as a play against all the HFY stories.
This is the first story for which I used more than a single image. I'd like to do this more in the future, but it takes more time, so we'll see.

My take on AI generated science fiction and art:
In my view, I'm not using AI to help me 'write' science fiction stories. The stories-an infinite number of them-already exist within the AI systems, and my task is to discover them. I use images and prompts as my search queries, and when the AI systems return an interesting story, I give it a quick edit present it on this channel.

@@jeffweber_ Apologies, no offense intended. The image and title reminded me of Douglas Adams books. Now that I have read about your creative methods, I'm curious to follow for more. My own very limited experience with AI has been less than satisfying, but this is quite impressive!

Thanks for clarifying. Some of the AI output can be pretty bad so I wasn't sure what you were getting at. :-) It can be difficult to get a good story out of AI. It's hit and miss and sometimes takes a fair amount of editing after the fact. I hope doing these stories or a while, as AI gets better, you'll be able to see the progress in the stories. We'll see. fortunately for us, there are FAR more ores and minerals and water in the FAR more easily accessible asteroid belts out there, and not just in our star system. although, if they have already depleted everything else...

Let’s assume they already got those, otherwise it’d be a pretty boring story. Maybe these are self replicating machines that some species lost control of and now they just take… everything.
