My mother was murdered two years ago and this beautiful song feels like it was written for me. Trying to hold on when sadness underscores so much of my days. I hold on waiting until the day I see her again. Thankful for the moments when emptiness gives me a reprieve from never having closure. Nobody has hurt me , I have good friends , my family loves me and supports me , still I feel lonely and hopeless about everything. I have become my own enemy. I feel like ending things once and for all can only be the solution and I know I sound like a corny teenager going through heartbreak but that is not it. I dont know how to let the pain be gracious, I dont know how to get better or change. Music is something that can empathize with me but sometimes I listen to love songs and feel even lonelier and sad. But hey this is a great song and I whole heartedly wish you are feeling better now

As someone coming out of addiction and seeing the hope in recovery, this song encapsulates every failed attempt, every struggle to get back up, and how to sit in the discomfort of cravings, damaged relationships and homelessness. Adele, thanks for pouring your heart into this song. I fall to my knees in prayer and lift my eyes in hope for all those who are "holding on" in their lives. We are indeed strong.

The last 3 songs of the album - Hold on, To be loved, Love is a game - is probably the strongest ending to an album I've ever heard. I can really see why she insisted Spotify make the default on their player not to shuffle, this album is truly most appreciated in it's full form. Also love from the comments how such a huge range of people take all different things from different parts this song, but all share a deep emotional connection, it's honestly songwriting beyond belief.

One of my favourite songs of Adele. The line 'sometimes loneliness is the only rest we get' really hit me, because sometimes it can be the break we didn't know we needed from heartbreak. Also, 'sometimes forgiveness is easiest in secret' - this goes for both forgiving ourselves, and also forgiving others.

As a 16 year old girl who struggles with depression and bioploar and body image issues and lack of confidence and feeling like Im alive but I'm dead or feeling nothing and school and friendships this is something I can relate too. 💞🥰 (Edited) -Thank you all for the support but I'm suffering also with addiction and my parents don't get. The school system has been on my ass like I'm a juvenile delinquent. In class kids treat me like I'm a outcast. I have one 3 friends and the aren't even in my grade. I ask my mom for a few things to easy my mind or to keep me from realization that I don't have a good life. But she doesn't seem to care, now I am here again sitting on my bed trying not harm myself again. My grades are getting worse ever since I posted 3 months ago.

I've been through a lot , my hurt journey started losing my mom 9 to cancer and my father never being in my life and then 14 losing my grandmother to diabetes then being in and out of psychiatric hospitals cause i was depressed and wanted to end my life and not to mention going to school being bullied made things worse , then having my grandfather marry my grandma sister (my aunt) and the close relationship i had with my grandfather and others in my family demising because i didnt agree with his decision with marrying her and me at 19 dealing with homelessness up until now at 30 on and off and throughout the years dealing with abusive relationships with men , no real foundation but me alone 😢😢😢 , dealing with depression and just trying to stay strong this song just makes me cry , cause i been through so much and so many losses , i just thank god I'm still here and staying strong 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

Just lost my nephew on 10/02/2021. This song had me in tears. 😔 it’s so beautiful for anyone who is struggling to hear. I want to dedicate this song to my sister- his mother who lost her 19 yr old baby and my mother (grandma) who weeps everyday for him as well. For anyone who has lost someone they love and people who r struggling with life. This song applies. Hold on. 🙏🏼❤️

The emotion in this song, I could feel it in my nerves. Couldn't stop crying throughout since it's so relatable for my season of life. It's a brilliant piece of music. It will surely help me in the future. Hats off for Adele.

You Can hear the Power in her voice. Everything That she’s been through has made her stronger. Sometimes God uses excruciating pain and suffering to to make our spirits stronger. Sometimes you have to be broken to be reborn, I know this from experience. Amen Sister Adele! To anybody who’s going through difficult times and you don’t know what the outcome is, there is a light at the end of the tunnel. God is with you through it all so don’t ever give up or give in. As a big fan of Adele’s, I copped “30” from Spotify this morning while working from home though I had already downloaded “Easy On Me”. While working I couldn’t “fully” listen so later in the evening I picked up the CD at Target for the 3 extra cuts. The Beats audio in my VDub was cranked as high as it could go when “Hold On” played. Just this past Saturday I attended a memorial for a childhood friend of 47yrs who committed suicide. Still, I’m encouraged by Adele’s statement that this song could save a life. Though not for my friend, I shared this video with my many other friends. One might not ever know what other people are going through, but Adele’s powerful lyrics along with her voice will reach someone. This. I. Am. Certain.
