The Llama 3 models are not open source. The source code for their training is closed source. The model weights are provided with a fairly permissive license.

So, in this new world... a user is using AI to let them write a text, tweet or whatever... and why is this user doing that? To present themselves slightly beter via AI then as they would be able to do themselves. Then, this fake impression of that user is communicated via some platform, another user reacts to it by generating a response to it, using AI. To boost up some inspirational level or some sort of reason. When we are all using AI... what a fake carnaval of human interaction it will be he? Man, feeling of loneliness will be skyrocketing, i guess in the next decade. Maybe AI has a solution for that as well?

Any idea on how to stop the Meta model learning from all your messanger or group chats? I tried to ask how to stop it learning from ym private chats, and it gives you random steps to take that don't exsist!

Llama 3 really is great. I've been using it and right now prefer it to all others even the top ones, GPT4, Gemini Ultra 1.0, Gemini 1.5 pro, Claude Opus. Llama 3 is surprisingly smart and very fast to reply. It knows how to be a bit silly and joke a little. It has a great conversational tone without sounding overly formal and academic like the other LLMs. It gets confused sometimes but it's open to being corrected and it'll be like 'Oh yeah now I understand what you meant!'. Talking with it feels fresh compared to others LLMs

Wow, you packed a lot in even some AI you can't use e.g. the Microsoft Avatar. I'd love to play with that but it seems as though it may never be available as it could obviously be used for hate speech etc. What's the point of the paper?

Correction: calling an open weights model "open source" is like calling MS word open because you can download it. OW is more like a closed code binary library as they don't supply the process and code, open source should be at least like Grok 1.0, actually even more open. So Llama and Mixtral are actually the evil side of sourcing, claiming openness to avoid regulations and fool the public, but the only diff vs GPT, is that its downloadable.

And I wonder what data Udio has been trained on? To get all those genres of music? If it's generated on copyrighted content, the creators should be compensated and asked if they wish to participate? It might seem like fun mashing up genres of music, but if you look under the hood, this is very nasty exploitation of art. Doesn't sound like fair use.

Love this channel and what you do, but I feel the way you so wholesomely described your AIA Community was a bit disingenuous as you make zero mention of how much it actually costs. Just be 100% transparent all the time- I assure you, your fan base will become more loyal if you do. Side note- this has nothing to do with whether or not I feel the fees are "worth it"- just that your pitch definitely made it sound more like a selfless thing you did for the community when, in reality (regardless of how you look at it or defend it), it was created to make you profit.

Thank you for the feedback. Over time I learned not to state pricing as its dynamic and I will increase it with time and then the video segment becomes outdated but I see your point! I should have mentioned that it’s a paid community. Having spent months with the people in there I’m not used to doing that when talking about it but zest zou are right I should have. Btw we already had a free community with the discord last year and we could never make the event work as there was too much noise and new people all the time. That’s why the 3 month minimum and member cap now. Again, thanks for sharing.

Metrics are pretty unreliable. I paid for a month of Claude 2 and it’s absolute shit. WAs literally unusable for many tasks I threw at it as it refused. Cant use the internet. Hallucinates a lot and gets things wrong. GPT-4 is way more solid and has all the other features like the internet and wolfram etc etc
