It looks like Russia has regressed to the days of 'cult of personality' when authoritarians like Stalin were in charge of politics. All opposition has been pretty effectively silenced by Putin's machine. Come to think of it, we came pretty close to this same fate just a few months ago and barely squeaked through by the skin of our teeth. I visited St. Petersburg on a merchant ship back in the day and the Russian people I met seemed personable, engaging, and were curious to meet foreigners. They deserve better.

This man is incredible. So much determination and bravery to keep fighting a really powerful and corrupt government. Unfortunately, similar cases happen in other places around the world, this man’s courage is mind blowing
