Hey Guys I thought I Thought I would Come to You With a Special Video in Which I have Combined All the Sims Trailers into one massive video at first i just wanted to do this but because the Sims has turned 20 years old i now have a reason to really do it. I was just thinking that. The sims three, they did not anticipate the times. Sims 2 were strictly disks. They tried to do too much with what they were previously working with. The sims three crashes most computers. Even to this day it crashes mine and I have the best gaming computer you could imagine. Sims 4 yes lacking a lot, they are trying to keep up with processing power. Everything being online and not on a single disk takes a lot of space on your hard drive. Not to mention the graphics are 1000 times better then what they had in 1,2 and 3. Most computers cannot handle that. It’s a compromise. Graphics take up a giant amount of processing power. Yes, the other sims generation in the past have more. But now they are focusing on graphics. Y’all gotta pick one. And not to mention, they have literally opened up the coding so that other people can add to it….. they are so winning in my book

@@tayloralexis7953 if you’re asking if i had to pick either graphics or gameplay, i would choose gameplay 100% of the time. i actually prefer the graphics of sims 3. the technology behind sims 4 is great, but that doesn’t mean much when the gameplay is lackluster. i was referring to the trailers, almost all of them are misleading. and that was proven true with wedding stories. most of the things shown in the trailer either didn’t work, or weren’t in the game. the sims 4 is known for glitchy packs that don’t work well (i.e. dine out). don’t get me wrong, i love the sims 4 but both sims 2 and 3 were executed much better imo. the team has been doing a great job at listening to fans. but EA hasn’t. the core issue with the game lies with the base game, and all the missing features. compared to the previous games, relationships are dull, there’s no chaos or unpredictability, and no personality. at least the sims 3 focused on the personalities of the sims, making each sim feel like an individual. and sims 2 focused heavily on relationships and drama. sims 4 has… emotions? if you want to look at it from a technological standpoint then yes, sims 4 is better. but overall, i believe the previous games had more to offer.

12:06 this song gives me instant goosebumps 🥺 anytime this would come on in neighborhood mode, i would just sit there and let the song play. it had such a nostalgic feel, and now years later, it still feels that way!

Makes me remember when the collaborations made sense! Like H&M and Ikea Stuff Pack. Those made perfect sense in the sims. Not sure how Katy Perry and Star Wars made any sort of sense in 3 & 4. Still love all the games

KPST was just one disappointment though, not like the Sims 4 where every pack is just a small portion of something that came from an expansion from Sims 2 and 3.. Laundry for example could come from buying the objects from the Sims 3 store or from Ambitions, University Life and Town Life Stuff.

Literally tearing up, the sims, especially ts3 has been such a huge part of my upbringing being the ONLY game I played during that period. Never thought a game like this could have taken this kind of special place in my heart :') I stopped playing it right after trying on ts4, the delusion was so bad that I dropped anything The sims related for years, watching this just made me wanna play again!

@@JoeyLegendd I was a 2000’s kid, I loved the sims 1, 2, and 3 however sims 4 can stay in the corner where it belongs 😂. I get kids nowadays start off with the sims 4, it’s sad they didn’t see the beauty we saw when EA cared about this game, now they just don’t. Tbh I feel bad for the sims 4 it didn’t get the attention it deserved. EA doesn’t care anymore, not about it’s customers and especially not about it’s games. 🙁

Thank you for this! From time to time I want to take a trip down memory lane to recreate the excitement I had in my childhood from watching the newest Sims expansion packs being released. I especially love that the resolution for the sims 1 clips is so bad you can hardly recognize anything, because thats the graphics we had back then.

Well, we used to get lots of objects with each new pack. We used to play with life. Those times when EA Games were challenge everything 🤩 Now with Sims 4 it is getting so boring especially with bugs and issues.

I started playing with the Sims 4 but I do love the previous Sims games too ( but I haven't been able to play the Sims 1, I will someday though) the Sims 2 had interesting stories to tell the Sims 3 had so much gameplay and while the sims 4 may be lacking it holds a place in my heart and I do prefer it over the others. While I can admit the previous games have more gameplay and stuff to do I just enjoy the sims 4 for what it is and it's just a fun game for me anyway, but then again I'm spoiled by mods so maybe I'm blind by the fact I use mods.

As someone who played the first Sims game growing up, I couldn't recommend it more. It's so different from the Sims 4 that I honestly wish I owned a copy of the OG Sims just to feel that nostalgia again. I'd highly recommend it though.

Sims 3 had the best trailers imo, they were so much fun to watch, I loved how some of them used simlish songs, and I just absolutely loved how Generations used the story of two sims to show the features it had. I also love how they didn't show text most of the time, they just show what's added in the DLC. Sims 2 is a close second, I loved the editing and the music, plus I love how they were still trying to add some adult humor into the first trailer. Sims 1 did great showing what each DLC added, also love how the game was catered more to adults. Sims 4's trailers didn't really have the fun that Sims 3's trailers had and it felt like everything you saw in the trailer was all you got.

You should really give Sims 2 a whirl it's a great game , if you leave it unpaused and just watch it's funny as all get out. Last time I did that in about 20 minutes the toddlers got taken away somebody died in a fire and the other one starved to death LMFAO

I hate to complain about what is otherwise an awesome compilation, but...why are there so many trailers that cut off partway through, and so many random spots of just blackness in the video? :( Edit: There are just SO MANY! They cut off mostly after Sims 2 (which is a shame, 'cos that one's my favourite) and then come back with a vengeance during the 4 trailers. Please, at least edit the description to explain why.

Thank you for the video❣ A Sims veteran here: Even though the graphics quality of the trailers for earlier Sims games was not so great, even now as I rewatch, a similar excitement that I had back then comes back to life ❣ As for what EA was able to deliver was a completely different story (too bad their greediness went full on to the extreme, especially with their latest Sims 4). 😢 Now comparing gameplay mechanics, detail, storylines (Lore), game physics, personality/charm, replay-ability, content (build/buy), CAS features, and world building, only one game stands out the most: Sims 2 (I would even add in graphic design here too, with added modding and CC)❣ Of course each game does have at least one or more features that stand out above the rest. Sims 3's large open worlds, Create-a-Style, Color Wheel and Story Progression earn Sims 3 my #2 spot❣ The Sims (OG) takes the #3 spot, having the most challenging gameplay (feeling more like an actual video game), as well as the best magic system of the entire series❣ Sims 4 (aka Sims 0.5 or DLC Simulator) does have a nice pull and drag to create sims, objects can be scaled up/down, building is seemingly easier (albeit, still missing key features, build tools/items, and world building), multitasking is somewhat of a nice touch (when it works logically) and the cartoonish (claylike graphics) seem to be favored by the Sims 4 community (although many of us Sim veterans disagree), but because it lacks key features of its predecessors (including the OG The Sims), I have to place it dead last, sadly. 😢

I know! My first thought was it sounded kinda familiar too. Given that University is the one that added the "College Rock" station (duh!) I'm guessing it's one of the songs from that station. Other than that I don't know.

They were just f'ing awesome then Sims 4 came out... Then it was downhill, unfortunately you could start to see it by the last years of Sims 3 as well but... The attention to detail was still AMAZING. Now it's just a lifeless money grab, a hollow shell of what was.
