Very surprised Tomiyasu isnt getting more starts now hes back from injury. Has more presence than Kiwior and I think hes better on the ball. I like both but man, I can't wait till we have Timber at our disposal

@@pamplona8377 I think Arteta is wary of Tomiyasu getting injured which he does often not so long after coming back. He will play the away game definitely.

I can understand where you're coming from and I largely agree but the fact is that never still puts his leg out as you said. Saka then attempts to switch direction which puts his right leg towards the right because he's moving towards the left (basic physiscs) which means that even though he initiated contact, neuer still fouled him and in my opinion its a penalty.

@@HueyByrne-ij3ku Saka put the ball too far away and backwards. His momentum carries him into Neuer, but also away from the ball. It's a great refereeing decision. But feels unfair as it would normally be given as a pen.

I think that's a fair objective assessment of what happened, but if we're taking that to its logical conclusion, it should be a pen. It's not the end of the phase of play, Saka's touch did take the ball slightly off his stride but not enough to not keep it at a clear goalscoring opportunity. I would also say that any move neuer's leg makes towards the ball is a challenge, which his body position clearly shows from any reverse angle you wanna pick. I hate seeing all these Saka hate posts because mostly they're bots but also they just don't respect what actually happened. That touch to move it around neuer is his only touch in the phase of play, as he's sprinting onto a loose pass from Bayern's midfield, at the end of the game where legs and minds are a bit slower. Neuer's face said it all; he knew he fucked up.

The best ref decision I've seen. Momentum. Crowd. Contact. Was all in Arsenal's favour. Only until you see the angle that Saka throws his leg out do you understand how good a decision it was. Never a pen, but so so so easy to give

Saka was going down before he gets anywhere near Neuer, you're right though it was risky from the German.

Deffo a penalty as well, Gabriel just picks the ball up after the whistle was blown and the kick was taken so its handball. The other incident Is either simulation or a foul on Neuer, either way its a freekick to bayern and a booking for saka.

@@robhans5 Only you don’t think that. Saka has one more G/A than Foden in 300 less minutes. Yes Foden can be aesthetically pleasing but hey Salah is better than Hazard not because of his play style instead of his consistency and effectiveness.

Only recency biased fools claim that ‘Saka is nowhere near’ how little football you’d have to watch to have that view. Both are exceptional footballers, Saka has just been more consistent for a longer time, Foden is having his superstar moment right now (Saka had his last season and before).

When pep first started winning the leagues/dominating James thought it was a flash in the pan so he was hating hard because everyone was and then when he learned city were actually dominating for real he toned it down because city grew rapidly even tho most of the fans are new but it’s ok because all big clubs have that but now and then he still can’t help his bias and hate come through. He’s always been a lowkey hater. Don’t pay attention to him… saka has only had one good season whereas foden has had many and competing with kdb the best player in his position. Saka and arsenal this year stat padded (scored many goals) against the lesser teams. I’m not saying saka is bad but foden definitely is better and he’s been world class way before saka. There’s no doubt foden is world class whereas saka has only had one good season last year and this one now which isn’t finished. He hasn’t won anything so he has a while to go before we can talk. At least he needs another season that’s top and then it’s fair to say he’s there with foden but still he’s not as gifted as foden.. in the England team no one is as technically gifted or gifted in any way as much as foden but he plays for city so a lot of people hate
