While on a recent moose hunting trip my friends and I came across a beaver on the ice. It is rare to see a beaver during the day, typically they are nocturnal. This one had a hole in the ice and was just out chilling on the ice. We stopped momentarily to check it out and carried on, beaver was not harmed. After we left, it went back down it's hole, under the ice.
