Yamaguchi Barber Shop has been in business for 102 years. When you pass through the noren (curtain) marked "Hair", you will be taken away from the hectic daily life with the interior decor that retains the atmosphere of old Japan and the background music of JAZZ, taking you to a place of extreme relaxation.
The store's wood-grained interior and the many JAZZ records, as well as the historical sound of the pendulum clock, are also relaxing.
Yamaguchi Barber Shop is also open at night, with Masao Yamaguchi, the third-generation owner, in charge during the daytime, and Taro Yamaguchi, the fourth-generation owner, at night.
The lights of the barbershop, which is located near the sea in Hayama at night, remind me of the Bakudat Cafe.
